I tried this recipe but will go back to my old standard. I make up my super chili with beans in huge batches and one of the things I use it for is topping for nachos. I don't use taco seasoning as it is too salty. Then I add all the toppings mentioned in this recipe. Microwave works fine also.
I've been making carrot cake for years and this is the first recipe I have found that uses LOTS of carrots. My family loved it! The only thing I did differently was to double the cinnamon and add small amounts of nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Very moist, heavy and wonderful!
Loved the recipe though my family likes a lot of cumin so added one+ tablespoon per batch but skipped the salt. I tripled the recipe, cut down on the meat and added various colors of beans. I like to make a lot and freeze for future meals. Also made a great topping for Taco Salad!! Plan to also try as a filling for burritos.
Great recipe! I served on whole wheat pocket bread (need a whole wheat to complete the protein) and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, cucumbers, lemon juice and olive oil. Cumin and cayenne are also nice additions before cooking the patties.
What a great and simple recipe! I may never buy prepared marinara sauce again. I did add extra garlic and less salt but other than that, it was perfection!!
I made these as suggested but used butter. What I'm really after are crispy cookies. Everyone seems to want soft and chewy. I want a crispy recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies. These came out very well and I'd make them again especially if someone can tell me what to do to make them crispy.
These came out great but can someone explain to me why I should use unsalted butter and then add sale. Actually I used salted butter and I never add salt to baked goods like cookies and cakes.
Yes, I made it and it was very good but I made a lot of changes because I used the ingredients I had. I used Italian Pork Sausage, a 24 oz. Jar of Spaghetti Sauce and 8 oz. of Tomato Sauce. No extra spices were needed and I used less Cheese than the recipe. Eight oz. of Mozz. Cheese was more than enough. But after 3.5 hours on Low, the Lasagne was overcooked. I will definitely make again but I'll use a full 16 oz. of Lasagne Noodles and check it after 2.5 hours.
Made this for a group recently and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. I doubled the recipe but it was still pretty thin in a 9x13 pan. Next time I will triple the recipe. Changes made: cooked the bacon, added sauteed mushrooms, garlic, dry mustard plus extra cheese at the last minute. Best breakfast casserole I've ever made!
Sounds wonderful and I'm definitely going to try it. I live in a very hot climate and don't turn my oven on in summer. Has anyone tried this in a crock pot?
Made these delicious cookies for Valentine's Day . Made cookies plus a small cast iron frying pan for my Husband. Absolutely wonderful but we liked the larger non-cookies version the best and next time I'll make as bars. Followed the recipe completely except I used natural crunchy peanut butter and no saletexcept for the salted butter. Plan to make them again and again. Next time I may use a variety of chips.
