Perfect for football games, this Wisconsin favorite sausage takes on a new life. Packer games will never be the same!
Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium to medium high heat. Add onions and slowly let them caramelize. Stir often. If they start to burn, turn down heat.
Cut bratwurst into 1/4" to 1/2" pieces. Brown pieces on medium high heat.
Place chips evenly over a cookie sheet. Layer bratwurst, onions, re-fried beans, jalapeno peppers and taco blend cheese.
Season the top of the nachos to taste with the chili powder, cayenne pepper and onion powder.
Cook 10 minutes at 300 degrees until all cheese is evenly melted. Do not over cook or it will burn.
When cutting up the bratwurst, wipe knife as needed to keep sharp. You can still use the meat for browning.
Serve with your favorite beer!
