Excellent soup! It is a very hearty soup and filling enough to eat as a meal. It seems to make more than eight servings but luckily, I can freeze it. Thanks!
Love it! The chili has a nice spicy kick to it with a bit of heat at the end. I did make some minor changes - added minced garlic, corn, and diced tomatoes. I also substituted kidney beans for the pinto beans and I cut the chili powder in half. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent! These burgers taste great! The BBQ sauce, the pineapple, and the bacon are an incredible combination and really give these burgers a Polynesian flare. I used 1 pound of ground beef (for two people), 1 cup BBQ sauce, and I diced up some of the pineapple and added it to the meat mixture to enhance the Polynesian flavor. Next time I’ll add pineapple tidbits instead. To prevent the burgers from falling apart, I added about a 1¼ cup of plain breadcrumbs and an egg to bind. I grilled the pineapple slices separately from the burgers. For crispy bacon, I put the bacon slices onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, covered with more parchment and then another cookie sheet, and baked in the oven at 400° for about 25 minutes. Assembled everything together on a toasted bun and topped with more BBQ sauce…Perfection!
Yummy! So easy and so much better than store bought. I didn’t have fresh tomatoes so I used two cans of diced tomatoes per another suggestion. I also added oregano, Italian seasoning, additional garlic, and a few dashes of cayenne for a bit of kick. Blended it with the stick blender to smooth it out and voilà…delicious!
I really liked it; it is very good. I cut the recipe in half for two people. I didn't have any celery seed so instead of using 1/2 teaspoon salt and a 1/4 teaspoon celery seed, I used 1/2 teaspoon celery salt. Also because I love tomatoes, I used one full 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes with the liquid in lieu of the 1/2 can and 1/2 cup of water. I wish I had more sauce though so maybe I'll add water or chicken stock next time. My husband LOVED it and that is quite a feat considering we have opposite tastes. That's why I'm giving it five stars. We'll definitely make again. Way to go!
I rated this a 3 star recipe because the ratio of dressing to the cucumbers is way off. There is just too much sauce. It's almost a soup. I even cut the sauce in half based on other reviews and it was still too much. Also, it was a tad too sweet for my taste. Next time I’ll cut back more on the liquid and on the sugar. I took another reviewers suggestion of putting the cucumbers in a salt brine overnight to draw out some moisture. They absorbed some of the salt from the brine so I didn’t add the salt that the recipe called for. I made a few other changes as well. I used milk instead of condensed milk and garlic pepper salt rather than the pepper and garlic salt listed in the recipe. Like another reviewer, we don’t like onions so I used dried chopped onion instead of the green onions and onion salt. My hubby’s a picky eater and he liked it so I’ll make again but with less sugar and less sauce.
I gave this recipe four stars only because I made a few changes based on other reviews. I used chicken stock instead of water and added Worcestershire sauce. We don’t like raw onions so I added dried chopped onion to the meat. The sandwiches were good. Hubby really liked it so it’s definitely a keeper.
I did not care for this recipe.
I added six cloves of minced garlic along with the onion in the butter then added 1/2 tsp. of crushed red pepper flakes along with the vodka. Added to crushed tomatoes: 2 Tbsp. Basil, 1/2 tsp. Oregano, 2 tsp. Parsley, 1 tsp. salt, & 4 tsp. Sugar. I also added 1/2 cup of grated parmesan and pureed with stick blender. So good!
We enjoyed this recipe. For two people I used the recipe for three pork chops but didn't skimp on the sauce so the chops wouldn't be dry. Also, per another reviewers suggestion, I added one can of Rotel diced tomatoes with peppers and one jar of marinated artichoke hearts with the juice. Very good!
