This was a great recipe, the only difference is that I used Lowfat Milk instead of Buttermilk, but it still tastes great! It's a darker color but tastes just like cornbread!! It's sooo goood!
I tried this recipe and it turned out pretty nice. I think however, you should add that it takes the mix about 15-20 minutes to thicken properly and it's not going to be super thick. Also, I agree with a previous review that this sauce on Macaroni & cheese would be perfect, many said the potatoes needed more seasoning, even though I added moe than the recipe called for & the cheese was over-powering but overall it was great! Next time will make the sauce with some pasta for Mac & Cheese!!!
Made this last night and it was really good, however I didn't have all of the ingredients. Subbed the Dijon Mustard for regular mustard and worked perfectly. Also, I would say I boiled my potatoes about 20 minutes on high and had to season them as well...also used more dressing, but this recipe turned out great..
Yea, I also cooked the potatoes for about 20 minutes before, added shrimp and corn last. Substituted Old Bay or Pappy's Seasoning (thought I had Old Bay but didn't), also added Onion Powder, Salt, Pepper, No Salt Seasoning and this turned out GREATTT! My boyfriend (who is picky by the way) loved it and told me to definitely save that recipe, so this was definitely a biggggg Hit!
I loved this recipe, this was my first attempt at Jambalaya w/o a box start and it turned out great!! Everyone loved it, I did add shrimp to it and just cooked the rice separately all together. The rice was not mixed in until plates were made, so NO problems w/ soggy rice! Will definitely make again. After you chop up everything it's pretty simple from there...
I loved this recipe, and so did everyone else. The only mistake was coating the pan with the olive oil. They make the chicken stick to pan, or it was probably the fact that I used aluminum foil under the pan.
Tastes great much better than my original recipe. I actually used Dijon mustard instead of yellow && it tastes much better WITH the green onions! Love this recipe!!
Great recipe. I have been looking for a recipe like this for a long time to used w/ Ground beef!
This recipe was good but maybe I would add more garlic next time, however it smelled great in the oven. Will be making again!
Loved this recipe and loved the fact it was so simple. Did not use egg b/c I don't like it but I make fried rice a lot, the difference this time is that I actually heated my BROWN RICE normally and then I put it in the freezer and let it get cold. I also used much more soy sauce & this recipe was great, even though very similar to the recipe that I currently use. Got compliments from a guest on this meal!
