Baked Mushroom Rice

This recipe needs a lot of changes. I followed the previous suggestions and cooked this dish on the stove top instead of baking. If you cook this recipe the way it is written, then you'll end up with a dish full of crunchy rice that gets thrown in the trash. You need to use 3 cups of water plus the cup of broth and mushroom soup when making this dish or you rice will not get cooked! I just used a skillet and put 1 cup of water, 1 cup of chicken broth, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 2 cups of Arborio rice, a whole package of chopped mushrooms, 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1 tsp dried parsley, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion poswder, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, and 3 tbsp of butter. I like my food spicy, so those spices might not work for everyone. I let is simmer about 10 minutes then added another cup of water, then let it simmer 10 more minutes and added another cup of water, then I let it simmer 10 more minutes. So I cooked the rice a total of 30 minutes and then let it sit for 5. It was okay as a side dish with my lemon chicken, but this would not work as a main dish for me.

Lemon Chicken III

I followed somebody's previous suggestion and only used 1 cup of lemon juice mixed with one cup of water to marinate the chicken over night. This was a mistake, the chicken barely had a lemon taste at all. If I make this dish again, I will definately use 2 cups of lemon juice when marinating. After frying it and putting in the pan with the chicken broth and marinade, I think it probably still needs more lemon juice squeezed over it. The brown sugar tasted kinda funny but if it had been more lemony, it probably would have tasted good. My suggestion is to follow this recipe pretty closely, if you want some flavor. It still might need a little extra flavoring though, maybe just more lemon juice. If you're looking for tender chicken, try "Amy's Egg and Garlic chicken", on this site. It's the best chicken I've ever cooked.

Restaurant-Style Chicken Tenderloins

This recipe is really nothing to rave about. I was expecting something really good since it is supposed to be comparable to a restaurant. It wasn't bad I just wasn't impressed. Amy's Egg Garlic chicken off this site is way better!

Mama's Dormant Chicken

This chicken should be left dormant. I did not like the sauce at all. It took over and hour to prepare and cook. I was disappointed, and I don't think I'll be trying this dish again.

Zesty Zucchini and Squash

I browned a little bit of minced garlic with my onion and threw in everything else. I only used 2 zucchini and one big squash and that was enough for 2 people. I also like to let my vegetables get a little bit more tender than crispy, so I let it cook on medium for about 20 mins. I liked it, I'll probably make it again.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Good Recipe. My boyfriend and I always eat the chicken barbeque pizza at California Pizza Kitchen, and this is very close. I don't know about the peppers though. I love them, but not on my pizza, I don't think that would taste right. I also used 3 chicken breasts instead of 2. And whoever suggested making pizza dough out of bisquick is wrong. Bisquick doesn't make pizza dough. Thanks for turning a perfectly good pizza into chicken and barbeque sauce on a biscuit. I did it to try and save money like they did and it was not very good. First of all, 1 1/2 cups of bisquick only made about enough "dough" to cover half on my pan. Next time, I'll try using a real recipe for pizza dough. Other than that, the pizza was great.

Mmmmmm, this dish was great! I used stir fry sauce instead of teriyaki because I thought it would be too sweet. I used turkey bacon and pepper jack cheese. I also marinated the chicken in the stir fry sauce overnight. I served the chicken with pan-fried asparagus, and it was a big hit. There were no leftovers at all.

Baked Beans

Yummy! My boyfriend said these baked beans remind him of some that he used to eat at a restaurant in Louisiana. My only suggestion would be to change the 1/2 cup of ketchup to 1/4 cup ketchup and 1/4 cup mustard. I topped mine with 8 slices of extra lean turkey bacon, and it was great. We gobbled up every last bit the next day at lunch

Yum, this was a big hit! I served this at a get toghether today and everybody wanted to take a plate full of these snacks home. You MUST cut the cream cheese/mayo mixture in half, though. I used 3 packages of crescent rolls, slathered a thick layer of the dressing on, and still had way too much left over!! It was very tasty though, I'll definately be making this again. Thanks Kim.

The recipe had gotten good reviews so I thought I'd try it, and boy was that a mistake. I love onions, but they just did not go with this. Mini sandwiches on rolls isn't a bad idea but that sauce is no good. I made these just like the recipe calls for and after a couple of bites, everyone turned their nose up at these including me. I really think kids would hate these. Unless you're adventuresome and willing to waste food, don't try these.
