made this over & over! huge with during football games - DO boil down the sauce. :)
Awesome! I've never made Beef Stroganoff, in my life (I'm 28 now in 2010) - my boyfriend requested me to make some the other night... I came upon this recipe and gave it a try, using all the tips from BEEZLYS - the pan was picked CLEAN! thank you, Donna and Beezlys!
This was great!! I had a lot of chicken left over from a dinner and wasn't in the mood for soup... So I tried this. It was delicious! Really close to willow tree's version! I didn't spin the celery in my food processor (my bf likes the "crunch") but I did the onions and chicken. Not quite to a "paste" I kept it sort of chunky. Then added that to the celery in a separate bowl and mixed in the coleslaw dressing and mayo.
wish I had read down a few more reviews to those who added in the extras spices & heat as those were the people who found the soy & Worcestershire sauce to be not so over powering. Was a great flavor as the recipient stands, but not where I was heading. I'll try this again with the suggestions for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Easy weeknight dish that's become a quick staple! After making this a ew times I made a couple changes to our taste.. Which might not make this 100% paleo (not great with this yet!). I use turkey chorizo and no nitrate no fillers apple maple chicken sausage, 1 pkg each.. 1 very large sweet potato, fresh mushrooms sliced (the smaller sized package) about 1/2 a large red onion diced & about 8-10 small sweet peppers cut up.. to speed things along, i toss in a table spoon or two of unsalted chicken stock and close the lid (helps the potatoes and adds a little flavor) I also toss in a couple tablespoons of pimenta moida (Portuguese hot chopped peppers) just before I add a full bag spinach at the very end. Be careful with that if you don't like heat! :)
super simple, easy to make, and great flavor! my family loves spice and so i spiced as written only making a few changes to the other ingredients based on family preference. I used ground chicken, low sodium beans, fresh jalapenos, and unsalted chicken stock. great share! thank you!
