I didn't care for them, but my brother liked them.
Very good! It's a keeper. My children (ages 3 & 4) ate in straight from the mixing bowl. I'm not sure if white sugar refers to confectioners or granulated sugar. I've used this recipe 3 times. The first time I used it in a german chocolate layered cake with chocolate frosting for 60 children. I used the granulated sugar & it recieved many compliments. The next 2 times I used confectioners sugar in a layered chocolate cake with buttercream frosting (for a birthday party & a cake for home). They were well recieved as well. What sugar do you (the reviewers) use & what does white sugar refer to?
The fruit was good-tasted like a fruit salad. My husband & I didn't care for the chips. My kids (ages 3 & 4) said, "yuck" when they tried the chips. Taste of Home had a recipe for cinnamon chips using pie crust dough- think we'd like that better.
These are fantastic! I've made several bathces of these in the past few months. Yes, the nuts can be difficult to cut through- I coarsley chop mine. I've also coated one side in white chocolate then drizzled it with milk chocolate- beautiful presentation & tastes great! DO use parchment paper, as the recipe calls for, or they will stick. Wetting your hands does make shaping the sticky dough very easy. These also freeze beautifully. 5 stars!!
My husband and I both had the same reaction to these -1- they melt in your mouth, wonderful texture -2- they were good, but not excellent. Something is missing in regards to flavor. Maybe crisco or butter instead of oil?
This was too dense for me. My husband thought it was better chilled. I won't be making it again.
Very good! Adults and children enjoy this. I serve it with strawberries. I recommend beating the cream cheese well before adding the other ingredients (to prevent lumps). Couldn't be easier.
VERY simple. I make these the night before (cover & store in fridge). Just toss in the oven before guests are due to arrive. They'll be gobbled up.
Very good. I dumped everything into my food processor to blend. Instead of raisins, added white chocolate chips & dried cranberries. Baked beautifully on ungreased baking stone.
I halved the recipe & used my bread machine (pizza dough setting). Covered with saran wrap & let rise in refrigerator. BEAUTIFUL.
I made a half a batch in my bread machine, using the dough cycle. The texture of this bread is so soft & light! Not only do I plan on making it again, but experimenting with different flours as well. Wonderful recipe.
