The dough is very deceiving. It is perfect for rolling out and has a beautiful texture. Once you bake the dough, it loses ALL flavor. These cookies taste terrible! Kind of like cornbread with no cornmeal or flattened unsweetened cupcakes.
These came out perfect! I added some raisins, then baked them at 350* and kept a close eye on them. They were a perfect chewy goodness with crispy edges at about 7 min.

I halved the recipe and still got 2 BIG 6braid loaves! My family loved it. The vanilla on the top totally made the bread. I added some cloves, cinnamon, cardomon and nutmeg. We had the bread with dinner last night and had alot left over. To keep it from going to waste, I used the rest to make french toast for dinner tonight and it made the best french toast any of us ever had. It is a nice dense bread, so you have to soak the bread in your egg mix a bit. Awesome, thanks for the recipe!
Very bland, not worth the time. The second time I made it, I had to change so many things that it had little in common with the original recipe.
THE BEST pancake recipe ever!!! My family loooooves when I make these. I've tried many many pancake recipes, but my search is over. This is now the only one I use.
It has a good flavor until the "carbonated" flavor hits your tongue. I found this to be completely unusable. I tried keeping it in the fridge overnight, did not help. I will try adjusting the recipe to see if the baking soda flavor goes away, but as is, the recipe is not to my liking.
This produced an amazing bread! The outside was crisp, the loaf had a hollow sound when tapped. The inside was soft (not moist) and chewy. I have made this several times with all sorts of herb combinations, dried veggies and everything added. It comes out PERFECT every time!
Tasted great, just like the conchas I used to buy at Mexican stores in Arizona. I love conchas and coffee for breakfast, and this recipe hits the spot.

Really different, but tastes great! I made it a couple of times and found that some sort of cream is necessary. Coconut milk works fine, but imo the cream tasted best.
