Very good! I changed a few things. I added fresh spinach layers and omitted the sour cream on top. I boiled and shredded my chicken and added chile pepper and extra cumin when I added the beans and cilantro. I also combined the sour cream with the chicken mixture for easier spreading. I pan heated the corn tortillas before adding them and they were not soggy at all. Everyone who tried it loved and I am eager to make it again. The leftovers were great the next day!
simply delicious. not that this recipe needs another outstanding review. followed the directions and had no problem with crumbly dough, but this cannot be made without a strong electric mixer. i had only 3 1/4 c. chocolate chips, but that was plenty. they look just like the picture. i will never make another chocolate chip cookie recipe again.
i doubled this recipe in a 9 X 13 and they were delicious. very easy to make and quick. a perfect blend between fudgy and cake-like and not dry at all. i always have the ingredients on hand and won't go back to box brownies. i did not make the frosting.
Absolutely delicious. There are never any leftovers. I usually add different beans, depending on what I have or what is on sale, but I always use black beans. I like the color variation. A great recipe!
A great recipe. Hardens up quite nicely and holds color well. I prefer icing recipes that don't use eggs white due to the smell, so this one is nice.
I couldn't find the chipotle sauce, so I used verde salsa. Followed the recipe exactly, but also added cumin when shredding and putting back in the crock pot. I thought it turned out well and my family loved it. We used the meat in tacos. Could use more flavor if eating alone, but with toppings it tastes great. The meat is so tender and falls apart. No knife needed. Couldn't have been easier. I will make again!
I had never eaten or made crepes before, but I thought these turned out well. My husband grew up on crepes and thought these were delicious. I followed the recipe except for using other's suggestions of mixing the liquids then adding the dry ingredients. Served with syrup or a warm berry mix.
I'm sad to say I am not a fan of this recipe! I was so excited to make them based on all the reviews. I halved the recipe for my husband and I and let the batter sit about 25 minutes. The batter was a bit runny and made yummy, flat pancakes. I added flour to make it less runny, as the recipe noted, and they plumped up a bit, but turned completely tasteless. Syrup could not save them. Now I have a dozen tasteless disks in my freezer. Bummer! I was elated to finally find a buttermilk pancake recipe. I will not be making this again.
I thought this was good and those I served it to enjoyed it. While reading the recipe I was shocked to see how much sugar you are supposed to add. I made it without adding any sugar and cannot imagine drinking it with sugar in it. Juice has plenty of sugar and it was tasty without it.
Delicious. I melted the butter/chocolate first to let it cool while preparing the other ingredients. Blended the dry, whisked the eggs and sour cream in a separate bowl, then added them to the dry. Slowly poured in the warm chocolate while mixing so as not to cook the eggs. Added the powdered sugar to the frosting as the cake was coming out of the oven and immediately poured on the frosting. Everyone loved it. Will make it again!
I enjoy spice, but this was a little too spicy for my taste. I will add less cayene pepper next time. Used a can of chicken broth in place of bouillon and decreased the water by 2 cups. I didn't soak my beans first and they were perfect. I sauteed the bacon and all veggies first. Added a few hanfuls of fresh spinach in the last 30 mins of cooking. Served with warm cornbread.
These are delicious and so easy. I have been searching for a pancake recipe and many of the buttermilk recipes have been disappointing. I love that I always have the ingredients on hand. I used 2 tsp rather than tbsp baking soda, added a dash of vanilla and a few shakes of cinnamon. I also substituted melted butter for oil. I will always be making these. Perfect and quick!
