Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy

This is my first review. I use this web site all the time and never commented on any recipe, though I've loved most of them. This gravy was fabulous! I followed the recipe as written and everyone raved about it at Thanksgiving. I was glad I made it because my turkey had very little drippings which would've been a disaster without this make ahead recipe. Will definitely be making this again. Like another reviewer suggested, buy the wings when they're on sale and freeze them. That will reduce the cost. Thanks for a great recipe!

Daryl's Mexican Dip

I made this recipe with a few changes. I omitted the onions, used light cream cheese and 1 cup of light sour cream to which I added the taco sauce. I highly recommend mixing the taco sauce with the cream cheese as other viewers suggested and drained the salsa. This step is crucial to omit runniness. It was delicious! I will definitely will make this again!

Quebec City Sugar Pie with Thick Cream

Being from Quebec, I've tried many sugar pie recipes and this one's definitely a winner! I made the recipe with no changes and my whole family raved about it on New Year's day. My mother, who's French Canadian, and has been making sugar pies all her life asked for the recipe!

Sausage & White Bean Soup

This soup was very good with a few additions. Like some others, I used smoked turkey kielbasa, omitted the ham, added three cloves of minced garlic, cayenne pepper and cracked black pepper. No salt is needed as the kielbasa is salty enough. This soup tastes a lot like pea soup, but cooks up quickly and tastes great. I also drained, but didn't rinse the canned beans and it was just the right consistency! yummy!

Best Ever Chocolate Cutout Cookies

If I could give this recipe no stars, I would. The dough was crumbly even after chilling. It had the consistency of slightly wet sand and could not be rolled or even shaped into a log as other reviewers suggested.

Roasted Asparagus and Yellow Pepper Salad

This recipe is delicious! We made it often on the barbecue this summer and it was so delicious, we didn't even add a dressing. It keeps nicely in the fridge for a day or two assuming there's any left after dinner!

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Perfect recipe as is! The only change I made is that I tossed the chocolate chips in a bit of flour to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the mixing bowl. My grandsons love these cookies! Thanks for a quick, delicious, and easy recipe!

Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

This is delicious! It's so much better than the bottled version which is loaded with preservatives. I added 1 tbsp of Patak's mild curry and used non-fat Greek yogurt. I also substituted 2 1/2 tsps of ground cardamon instead of using pods since I didn't have any on hand. I left the thighs whole instead of cutting them and it turned out perfectly. I thought cutting the meat would maybe make the pieces too small once they were cooked. As it was, the meat was so moist no one needed a knife! I served it with jasmine rice and raita. I will definitely make this again! Thanks for sraing this recipe!

Excellent icing with great flavour:-) I used 1/4 cup of softened butter and added a bit of milk. This recipe made enough to spread easily on a 9 by 13 inch cake. It spread beautifully and my little grandson loved licking the bowl! Thanks for a great recipe:-)
