This was delicious! Almost as good as Grandma's. I used Jimmy Dean HOT sausage-- we like it with the extra kick.
Ok, wow! I used 3 cups of zucchini. This kept so well in the fridge, after 7 days it was still fresh. I use half brown sugar and half white. I also substituted half the oil for applesauce but I think next time I will use all oil as I did not like how it altered the texture. ***UPDATE*** I believe I found the perfect alterations in order to make this a lil' more nutritious-- I used half whole wheat flour and half AP. I used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup (lightly packed) brown sugar. 3/4 canola oil, 1/4 cup applesauce. I also added about a half tsp of nutmeg. I poured about 3/4 full into a bread pan and poured the rest into a muffin pan (8 muffins). These came out so, so good and moist! Still totally sweet-- in fact, I may try and cut the sugar by another quarter cup next time. :)
These were a hit! I used orange juice instead of water and also made an orange glaze for the icing which was OJ concentrate, powdered sugar and vanilla. I can't wait to make these again!
This was delicious! I did add some broccoli and doubled the water. I used 2 cups milk and extra flour. I will definitely make this again. I have a feeling it will taste even better as left overs.
yummy! these are really good, kind of any easy version of the chocolate crackles my mom makes. I did add the suggested 2 tbsp of canola oil and 1 tsp vanilla. I also tried both rolling them in powedered sugar and sifting p.sugar after they were done baking, both turned out great tasting.
I made these as written but I added a bit of vanilla and before baking I dipped a fork in sugar and did the crisscross thing. YUMMY! Please make these-- you must love the taste of peanut butter though. I found that they held up ok still the next day (and tasted wonderful still) but really started to fall apart thereafter. Next time I make them, I will try 3/4 cup of sugar just to see if I like them as much.
Though dough was really yummy, but I did not think the cookie was anything special.
4 stars but changed it to 5 when I made the following changes: halved recipe: used about 3/4 can pumpkin half oil, half unsweet applesauce no water - a nice size splash of OJ a little less then 1 cup sugar (brown and white) cut back on flour (half wht half whole wheat) and added heaping spoons of wheat germ and ground flax seed. proper measurements for spices except I added extra fresh ground nutmeg and half teasp allspice. and splash of vanilla. baked in one pan for about an hour. YUMMY!
good stuff, but next time I will divide it for 2 thin crusts.
to die for!
