Well I am an American chick living in New Zealand! I met the man of my dreams and moved over to NZ. We both like cooking which is good, so neither of us have to cook everyday! I've always enjoyed baking, ever since I was a little girl. I grew up in a family of 10, and always liked baking for them...i'm pretty sure they enjoyed being on the receiving end of that deal!

It is a lot harder to get pre-made baking helpers over here in the grocery store....such as pie crusts, cookie dough, pudding etc. It's also really expensive to buy Betty Crocker boxed cake mix & frosting!

SO lately i've really been into making EVERYTHING from scratch & I love it! It's so much cheaper, heathlier and it's enjoyable as well.

Delicious and Juicy burgers!!! Only giving it 4 stars because I think it could do with a bit of "oomf". Maybe some chilli and some more salt.

Chococonut Chip Cookies

The flavor was amazing for these cookies, but they turned out really really flat & the texture just wasn't right. I was really hoping I could get these to turn out because they tasted so good! Maybe they need more flour, i'm not too sure. I did halve the recipe, not sure if that made a difference.

Good Recipe! I did use black pepper, because I don't like white, and I didn't have onion powder. Also next time I'll replace the thyme with oregano because I don't like thyme.

This is a fantastic classic lemon bar recipe! The crust is amazing.....and melt in your mouth good!! It is a bit on the sweet side for me though, might consider reducing the sugar next time. My friends all LOVED them & my husband is looking forward to the next time I make them:)

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

This was fantastic, and although I had to amend the recipe a bit because I didn't have all of the ingredients...........I still think i'm able to give this 5 stars:) The flavor was even amazing on the "inside" of the chicken......it wasn't just the skin that had all of the flavor. I think this is because It marinated all day long & because there was marinade and garlic on the inside of the bird. SO, I replaced oregano for the thyme (don't like thyme), and a lil more black pepper in place of the white pepper (don't like white pepper either!). I didn't have any onions, so I put a few fresh cloves of garlic on the inside of the bird. ALSO I added melted butter to all of the spices to make a paste to put on the chicken............it was delicious!! Might cook it for less time though, the next time I make it.

Fabulous cheesecake! Didn't even have time for the sour cream topping but it was delicious anyway! We topped this off with a fruit salsa. soooooo good!

This was fantastic! I had to make some changes because I didn't have all of the ingredients......I used Tabasco sauce in place of the hot sauce (and only used 1/4 of the amount stated), I added more honey + half of a fresh lemon........DELICIOUS!!!!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

These cookies were fantastic! Everyone loved the "surprise" in the middle!! only thing is that they aren't as moist as normal cookies, but I will definitely make these again!!!

This is just what I needed, with only a little time to prepare & no waiting for the dough to rise!! The bottom was a bit flimsy even after I pre-cooked the base before putting on the toppings. I always have this problem though, maybe I need to cook it longer. Thanks for the great, easy recipe!!
