This is a wonderful dressing. I used pork sausage and substituted bought unseasoned cornbread dressing for the bread and used sweetened cranberries (craisins)and left out the liver. I added the same spices and used more turkey stock. It still came out a bit dry so next time I will use even more stock. However, the taste and smell was fantastic. This was my first time making dressing and boy did it turn out wonderful. Instead of stuffing the turkey, I popped it in the oven at 350 for 1 hour and the color was fantastic. Will definately make again. **Update 2015 I've made this for years now on Thanksgving. Thought I would post what I do that my family absolutely loves and it makes a nice moist dressing. I use one bag (14 oz) of bought seasoned bread crumbs, one pound sage sausage, and all the same spices and ingredients as called for. I also have found that 3 cups of stock (whether turkey or chicken) makes the dressing just the way I like it. My husband requests this every single year.
This recipe gave the turkey the prettiest color I have ever seen. But the cheese cloth had to be basted about every hour and I ended up taking it off and covering the turkey with foil for the last two hours of cooking. I found that the moistness of the turkey was not really that much different than what I usually get and most of the flavor was in the skin instead of in the meat. Maybe injecting the turkey would allow more of the flavor to come out. Probably won't do this recipe again, but it was nice to try something different.
This is an awesome recipe! Quick, simple, and tastes wonderful right out of the oven or right out of the fridge the next day. Had to bake it a little longer than recipe called for.
This recipe made the pork chops incredibly moist and tender. I did not use the mushroom sauce, instead, I followed the rest of the recipe and instead of the italian bread crumbs I rolled my chops in crused ritz crackers. I followed the recipe just as stated but only baked the chops for one hour since I did not use the mushroom sauce. WOW! The pork chops were excellent!
A really simple and quick recipe. However, I thought it needed something extra for flavor, so I added a 1/4 can of beef broth to it and it thinned it up a bit and added some great flavor to it. I also added a small can of mushrooms. I will fix it again.
The batter was awesome. I even tried the batter on dill pickles and it all had a really good flavor.
I haven't made a cheesecake since I horribly messed up my first one 4 years ago. However, I made this one for my husband on valentine's day and it turned out perfect. It looked as though I had purchased it from a bakery. There was one 1/2" crack that was barely noticeable. I had my doubts about the shortbread crust, but it really went well with the cheesecake. I will definately make this one again.
These cookies turned out well, but I wasn't impressed with the taste. I think a nice twist would be to dip them in white chocolate. I probably will not make them again just because they took so long to prepare and I just didn't like the flavor.
This was a great dish! I made this for a brunch that my friends and I had for a baby shower and it was completely gone at the end of the shower. I added sausage to it and it was fantastic. Will definately make again.
My family really liked this banana pudding. Not quite like mom's or mother-in-law's (their both from ky) but it had a really good flavor. I will definitely make again.
Everyone loved this recipe. The lasagna had a great flavor and was super easy to make. This is probably the only lasagna I will make from now on.
I really liked this recipe. Fast and easy!! I did add a little sweet basil and thyme to give a little extra flavor. Will definately make again.
