Wowzahs! This fish was mighty spicy, but quite delicious. I cut the paprika down to 2 Tbsp, and cut the cayenne and salt in half. Served over white rice with a side salad. Will make again!
Very tasty! I followed the recipe exactly, and I think the oregano provided a nice balance. Topped it with some homemade guacamole, shredded cheddar and salsa.
Thank you for this recipe! I originally made these for a summer barbecue and they were a HIT! I've made them three times now, and each time they've been delicious. I follow the recipe exactly, though I don't think they need a full hour to simmer on the stove. Be sure to chop the onions very fine, or use shallots for a more mild flavor. I'd like to try using panko breadcrumbs next time.
A huge hit! My boyfriend devoured his half and said the "sauce" was delicious. Will definitely make again. Thanks, Farmmom!
Very tasty! I used local, farm-raised chicken drumsticks with the skin on, seasoned with salt and pepper, and smothered with butter and minced garlic. Basted the drumsticks for the last ten minutes in the oven. Oh so good.
My boyfriend works 12 hour days, and when he got home tonight, he was so psyched that this was on the table! We both agree that we will make this over and over again. I simmered everything for another 30 minutes so that the sauce reduced and thickened to perfection, and served with mashed potatoes.
Delicious! I didn't have red onion on hand, so I used shallots instead. Roasted the veggies for half an hour and baked the chicken for 15 minutes (I used thin-sliced chicken breasts). Went nicely with some jasmine rice. Looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
