I made this recipe as written, except I did substitute leeks and green onions because I had some that I needed to use. This was excellent! Even my picky husband loved it. It will definitely go into "heavy dinner rotation."
Too syrupy sweet for my family. I tried it in my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and it didn't set up -- which is my own fault. Just not the right Chocolate Ice Cream recipe for me.
Awesome flavor! Even my picky husband loved it. I did add some fresh sage and rosemary, just because I had some in the fridge, but it wasn't necessary and the marinade would be exellent without. This recipe is great as is, or can be a great base to experiment with different flavors and seasonings.
My family loved it! We'll definitely have this a few times on "football Sundays" this year. I did add some minced onion and garlic, just because I had some around. Great flavor and excellent consistency.
We absolutely loved this! It will definitely be in heavy rotation for "football Sundays" at our house! I read previous reviews that said the cream cheese part was a bit bland, and added a few shakes of Onion Salt -- really, really good! I bought a loaf of thinly sliced Italian bread and brushed it with a bit of melted butter and minced garlic, then toasted it in the oven. Excellent recipe!
This is exactly what I've been looking for! Excellent texture and flavor. I was a little nervous with the wet-bread thing, but it was perfect. I did add a few shakes of onion salt because we're not big on onions and it was great. I made meatballs but will definitely adopt this as my long-searched-for meatloaf recipe as well. Really, really good is all I have to say!
Great recipe! I did add a pinch of nutmeg and a bit of cinnamon. I made mine into muffins -- half with chocolate chips and half without to make everyone happy. They were very moist and flavorful. Much better than any other recipe I've tried.
Turned out great! Just like classic no-bake cookies should be. I made mine extra rich because I was out of milk and had some cream left over from another recipe. Wonderful!
