I omitted the curry powder, but didn't skin or marinate as was the suggestion by another reviewer when they did so. That was a mistake. Also there was far too much glaze. I probably could have halved this.
Made as directed and it was delicious. The kids finished the leftovers the next day! Definitely five stars :)
I used a 40 oz can of sweet potatoes(drained), kept the sugar and butter the same, sprinkled with cinnamon between the butter and sugar, and cut large marshmallows in half for this recipe. Covered for the first 15 min. only. The marshmallows didn't melt, but came out perfectly poofy and brown. I will definitely be making this again next Thanksgiving!!
Made this as directed (except I formed it into one whole loaf) and it was bland mush. I won't be using this recipe again!
I mixed a taco seasoning packet in with ground beef and used cream of mushroom soup. I also added a layer of spanish rice in between the bottom tortilla layer and ground beef. I think I should have added the salsa on top of the rice, but i put it as directed on top of the beef. I used 1/2 cup quesadilla cheese and 1 cup mild cheddar. This was delicious, but it was missing something. Next time I may add a layer of frozen corn or kidney beans. Delicious and versatile. I recommend :)
Made as directed (except that I used 12 oz. of blackberries) and it was very good. A little plain. Next time I may add a pinch of cinnamon or brown sugar to the topping. It took an hour and ten minutes to cook in the 9x9 square.. far from the suggested 25 or 30!
Made as directed except that I poured them into a 9x13 as was suggested by another reviewer. Had to allow them to set up overnight. They could have used the extra 1/2 cup of oats but they were still delicious! I will definitely try these again.
Made these as directed except I used regular shortening instead of the butter flavored. Baked for 11 minutes and they turned out wonderful. Soft and chewy.
I used 9 slices of cinnamon swirl bread cut into one inch pieces and a half cup of sugar. Those were the only alterations I made and this was wonderful. A little "eggy" but still really good.
I used a pork shoulder roast and added a cup of pineapple I had left over. Cooked on high for 3 hours and low for 3 hours til it was falling apart. Left it shredded in the sauce in the fridge overnight and Voila! The best pulled pork for sandwiches! Great recipe.
Not bad but I made lots of alterations. Browned the hamburger with the onion and a half a packet of onion soup mix. Drained, returned to pan and added a can of mushroom soup. Poured mixture into a 9x13 sprinkled w/ Parmesan. Added a layer of frozen french cut green beans and sprinkled a cup of cheddar on top of that. Put the frozen taters on top of that and sprinkled with another cup of cheddar. Mixed another can of mushroom soup (10 oz.) with a few tablespoons of milk and poured over tots. Sprinkled ANOTHER cup of cheddar on top. Baked covered for the first 30 and uncovered the remaining time. It was pretty good but still seems like it's missing something! Next time I will add fresh mushrooms and scale back the cheese. (Only by one layer.) Maybe add a few shakes of A1 to the meat mixture.. great recipe to start with and make your own :)
I made these as directed but they just weren't very good.
