this is my favorite recipe that i have cooked so far and everyone always tells me to make this for parties. I use sour cream instead of mayo. I also use 1/3 less fat cream cheese and reduced fat sour cream and it really does not taste different than using full fat condiments. I also up the garlic to about 2-3 cloves since I do not have garlic salt. To replace the garlic salt I use either onion powder or onion salt and it adds amazing flavor to this dish. I add a little bit more cheese -hence the reduced fat cream cheese and sour cream :) I agree with the other reviewers to mix the cheese in the mix but I also reserve a bit just to sprinkle on the top. I love this dip with triscuts annd pita chips!
This was a very good recipe. In my opinion, it was not bland at all. First, I used both chicken breasts and thighs to give options between white/dark meat. Then, I seasoned all the chicken with adobo, fresh ground pepper, and a little bit of Webber's garlic seasoning. Instead of oil I used butter and upped the garlic to about 3 teaspoons for every 4 chicken breasts. I began cooking at 400 degrees however, the breadcrumbs on the bottom of the pan started burning so I lowered the temp to 350 and cooked for about 35 minutes. So delicious - use seasoned breadcrumbs!
I have never had coney sauce but this was absolutely amazing. So different (and lighter) than a chili dog; extremely flavourful. Me and my family like to boil the hotdogs then add this sauce. 2 hours in a slow cooker is key, it really brings out all those flavors!
so good! tastes like a moist brownie. scaled down the oil to 2/3 of a cup and it and it was still extremely moist. i baked a little bit longer. this cake was extremely easy to make too!
this recipe is really good and the sauce by far makes the recipe. I doubled the sauce and used 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup and one can of golden mushroom soup to give it extra flavor. I also used mushrooms and green onions to give it more texture and color. Since i doubled the soup mixture I was able to spoon about 1/4 of the mixture on the porkchops after letting them back for 35 minutes. I then took the porkchops out after another 30 minutes and let people put extra sauce on them. delicious!
very good and very simple recipe. i used this with the Too Much Chocolate Cake Recipe. I made this in the microwave like others suggested and it was less of a mess to clean up. will use again and again!
This is definitely one of my favorite recipes on this site. It is such a refreshing change from the ordinary ground beef tacos. Here is what I do: 1. I cube my chicken, then put it in a tin and season it with adobe, black pepper, and a little bit of cumin. 2. I usually tripe or quadruple the marinade since it is so amazing I like having a good amount to marinade the chicken along with some to put on the actual taco (it makes the chicken more juicy). 3. I saute the chicken in a tiny bit of oil and garlic really fast just to give it that white color (not brown, you don't want to over do it). 4. Add all the marinade and bring it down to a simmer and cook for about 15-20 minutes. To the marinade I add white onions along with the green onions, I add a little bit more lime juice (FRESH! not bottled) and I also add a little bit of cumin to the marinade. This is honestly so delicious and refreshing !
This is the only recipe I have used on this site so far that I followed the recipe to a T and it was PERFECT. My mom hates risotto and she loves this. I studied abroad in Italy and refused to try any risotto here but then i gave into this recipe and it definetly was up to par with what i ate in italy. Since this is very filling, I usually serve it with something light like Giada's Chicken Florentina in a light red sauce. Amazing!
These were so filling and delicious. I used 'Alfredo Sauce' recipe submitted by Rebecca Swift which I thought was the way to go since I am not a fan of jar sauce. I boiled about 2 chicken breasts in seasoned water (adobe, little sauce) for about 20 minutes and shredded them. I added pepper and garlic powder to the shredded chicken then sauteed it with the spinach. With my saute, I also added abt 2 more garlic cloves, mushrooms, olive oill, and pepper. I boiled 12 noodles and this mixture fit in all twelve. Delicious dish, just definetly play around with and up the spices. Thanks Marbalet!
