oh-em-gee...all i can say! i love this recipe! i found a couple years back, and have never used any other banana nut bread recipe since.
absolutely popping with flavor! It probably would have been perfect without the things I added, as the bacon gives such a great flavor against the lime juice. I added a few things only because I like playing with spices =). Added to marinade: a very small dash of cayenne powder, a dash of parsley, and a thin coating of melted butter. Very delicious, and got great raves from the family!
yummmmmm!!! to get the layers even and keep them clean (im picky about presentation!), i stuck the pie in the freezer for a bit after each later was added. i also stuck the crust in the oven on like 300 degrees for a few minutes to help it set better and keep it from crumbling. great recipe though!
