Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

I thought that this was a great recipe. I'm trying to be healthier, and one step towards that is to substitute anything white, with brown. So this whole wheat dough was right up my street. I've never made home-made pizza before, so I was very happy with the results. The only change I made as that with my fast action dry yeast, I added it to the flour, and as I used hard honey, I melted it in the warm water that was originally meant to be used for the yeast instead. It was this water that I added into the well. All in all I thought it was a great recipe and will definitely use it again. My partner thought it was very tasty!

Fantastic! I don't often make my own bread but I will definitely make this more often. Made a small change and made it half walnuts and the rest sunflower seeds. Turned out great!

A great sugar cookie recipe. Admittedly I don't know what Mrs. Fields cookies taste like, but I loved these...(also I love cookie dough, and this is up there with the best of them!) I dipped mine in melted dark chocolate after they had cooled and cooled them in the fridge. They tasted great. Will probably have a couple of batches to serve with coffee at my wedding.

Strawberry Cobbler I

I have made this twice, the first time using a couple of suggestions by other members, such as doubling the cornstarch. I also replaced 1/4 of the water with the juice from a freshly squeezed lemon. The second time, rather than using fresh strawberries, I used frozen strawberries, raspberries, björnberries, and blueberries to make a berry cobbler. I defrosted the berries first and used 1/4 cup of bottled lime juice instead of lemon that I used previously. I also replaced some of the white flour for spelt flour to make it SLIGHTLY healthier. It did not detract from the taste at all. Thinking about it, I may make it again tonight! A note about cooking times, I didn't keep it in the oven the whole time. Make sure that the dough is evenly spread at the top, not too thick in any one place, and wait for it to turn a nice golden brown. Should be ready by then as you should see the bubbling of the berry mixture through the dough and around the edges.

Pretty good, have made it twice now. Although I tried using them instead of dinner rolls when serving meatloaf, but my partner said that he found it didn't go so well. The first time we served it however was with soup and it was fantastic to dunk with. I have frozen some that we had extra and am going to attempt using it as part of a dessert which I have done with another fry bread recipe, serving it with fruit and cream. I suspect it should taste good!

My husband loved this! Was looking for a particular Swedish dessert he liked that incorporated coconut and cocoa and found this. Not the same one, but he loved it all the same! Quick and easy to make. Whipped some cream and added some vanilla sugar and sugar into it to make really sweet. Used cocoa in this one.

Cinnamon-Walnut Coffee Cake

This didn't work out for me and I don't know why...it wasn't cooked when I cooked it for the prescribed time and the walnut topping seemed to be too hard when it did cook through. Was disappointed. Not sure if I did something wrong. The cake itself tasted okay though.

At first I didn't think this recipe was too good...I had baked it in a large round and the top became crunchy and it took longer to cook (but that was likely because it was in a round pan). So, slightly disappointed with its outcome, I shoved it in the fridge thinking that we may eat it if we're really hungry the next day. The Next Day...it was moist after having sat in the fridge overnight...it was delicious! I'm planning to make them again, this time though, they will sit in the fridge for a few hours before eating!

Quick and Easy Brownies

I used 1 cup of walnuts, an extra teaspoon of vanilla essence and I baked it in a smaller pan so that they became thicker. I had to cook it for approx 25 min longer due to the thickness of the brownie, but the outcome was divine. I topped it with a milk/dark chocolate ganache and sprinkled chopped walnuts on the top. A generous dollop of vanilla whipped cream topped it off! Great if you're a nut fan and a definite keeper in my recipe box! My husband LOVES it!

I couldn't be bothered to make them into crescents. I made them into rounds. I didn't want too much sugar on it so I just rubbed some on the top rather than rolled them. But I LOVE this recipe. I have been trying to find it for quite a while now. I grew up in Toronto and there was a little Jewish bakery by me that made just these sorts of cookies. They closed down and I missed tasting these. Thanks for the recipe!
