We live just over 7,000 feet above sea level so I had to adjust my time by about 4 - 5 minutes. The batter is super sticky so I had a slab of butter that I would dip my fingers in before making a ball - it helped! We also used a rainbow cake mix instead of the lemon - it was SUPER sweet and my hubby and children loved them.

This was a great recipe! I didn't have Apple Cider, just Apple Juice. I browned the meat and then covered the pork with the Apple Juice. I chopped the veggies and the apple and put them in the pot ~ it was fabulous! I served over rice and my family really loved this. We live at just over 7,000 feet above sea level so this affects cooking time. Usually I have to cook things longer, but this meal would have been best for us served after 5 hours since I cooked on a gas stove-top rather than a slow cooker. I just can't say enough about how delicious this was and how much we all enjoyed this recipe!

Delish! I halved the recipe and it was great - my family loved it - the next time I make it, I'll sift the confectioner sugar. This is a great recipe for parties!

FANTASTIC!!! I've made this several times all to raving reviews from my family! To spice it up, I add in a finely diced sweet onion and any veggies that I have on hand (frozen or fresh) - it's a great way of getting the children to eat their veggies! For the dumplings, I just use Pillsbury Bisquits' and tear into small pieces and throw on top for the last 30 minutes of cooking time - delicious! :0) Makes me want to make some right now! :0)

This may be one of the best recipes to date! I made it pretty much to speck with the exception of exact measurements - I'm a "little bit of this and a little bit of that" kind of girl. =-) Next time I think I'll throw in an apple and a sweet onion, just to add in some sweetness - but that's just how our family likes it - honestly - this recipe is perfection!

LOVED this recipe and my kids really enjoyed decorating - I didn't have any toothpicks so the 'blood veins' didn't come out quite right but overall very fun and delicious! (Our picture is the one on the bat shaped plate at the top.) Great family time! The kids didn't like the black olives, so I let them decorate with colored icing - it added a bit of sweetness to the eggs (to much for me) but the kids loved it. =-)

Oh my word - the BEST pot roast ever! I didn't have a package of dry onion soup but used a box of beef broth and some spices I had on hand, but the HUGE secret to making this a success is definitely the Soy Sauce. It was delicious!
