  • 2) Remove giblets and neck from turkey and place in pot with water just covering - cook on low.

  • 3) Rinse turkey and pat dry with paper towels.

  • 4) Carefully pull the skin away from the meat and start stuffing that area with the soft butter mixture.

  • 5) Wash oranges and apples and cut oranges and apples into halfs keeping the skin on the oranges and apples(remove core from apples) and stuff the cavities of the turkey with the slices - any extra slices that won't fit, put in pot with gizzards and neck.

  • 6) Put turkey in cooking bag and place in the oven.

  • 7) Cook turkey according to directions that came with the turkey - use the direction for a 'stuffed turkey'.

  • 8) After the turkey is cooked thoroughly, your turkey directions will most likely suggest you take your turkey out of the oven to 'rest' - while turkey is resting, mix the left over juices at the bottom of the turkey bag with the gizzard and neck pot (remove the gizzards and neck and toss out). You can thicken the gravy with corn starch, etc.

  • ~Excellent taste and always a hit with the family - just wait until you have the leftover's on a sandwich - YUM!
