This is great. I need to watch my fat intake, so I used the fat free broccoli and cheese soup instead and it turned out great. I also added frozen broccoli for the last 30-45 mins to add some veggies. I served it over noodles and everyone gobbled it up.
I gave these as part of homemade baskets for Christmas to several of my coworkers and they did not last until the end of the day. Everyone raved about them and loved that they were homemade. It is a very simple recipe, and with all the other suggestions I did not have trouble with the soft ball stage, so thanks!
This recipe was really yummy. I am a cheese-a-holic, so I added additional cheese slices to the top as well as tomatoes (just like mom used to make) and it was so good. The chips did get soggy on reheats so I would halve the chips on the original and add more with each reheat.
I brought this to an office potluck and although it was a little too lemony for my personal taste, others really liked it. I used salad topper almonds that were already roasted and I think it added a nice flavor. I think the next time I make it I will add the lemon seperately and make it more to my liking.
I brought this to an office potluck and every loved the flavor. I do not have an icecream maker so I used my Kitchen Aid. I also ised diet soda with fat free cool whip and fat free condensed milk. I think the texture was a little icy because of this, but it tasted really creamy and delicious. I had to give the recipe to everyone. We also discussed that you could modify it and use grape soda or strawberry soda for some variety. Great recipe.
If I could give this a million stars I would! I cannot tell you how much I loved this pie. I made it exactly as written but used a graham cracker crust. I am not a huge pumpkin pie fan and the pumpkin in this was mild and creamy and wonderful. You need to make this! p.s. make sure you read ingrediant listing carefully - I gave this recipe to a co-worker and she added a whole tub of whipped cream instead of 1 cup and it would not set LOL
