I made this recipe for Thanksgiving...I used 3 one pound cans of cut sweet potatoes instead of fresh ones because I was in a hurry. I kept measurements and all the same, but I did only use 1/2 a bag of marshmallows. Not many people at the meal normally like sweet potatoes but the ones that do, ate it and said it was pretty good. My son said it tasted like pie.
I didn't have any pork chops so I sliced up a pork tenderloin but followed the recipe exactly... all I can say is OMG Delightful! Even my extremely picky 4 year old ate it and loved the sauce... very decadent and delicious! Recommended!
I stumbled upon this recipe while looking for something a bit different than the "traditional" pot roast for this cut of meat and was pleasantly surprised. Mine turned out a bit watery but it was good... instead of using red pepper/hot sauce I used a bottle of tabasco's green pepper sauce... it had a little bit of heat but not molten like some have complained about.
I followed this recipe exactly, except I left the peppers and onions out until the last hour or so to avoid them turning to mush... this turned out to be pretty good. Left me wanting more veggies in it but that can be easily done next time. Enjoyable.
I did everything the recipe called for except I used chicken tenders instead of cutlets and used seasoned bread crumbs on top of adding the garlic powder, salt and pepper. Also, I didn't add the chicken to the sauce, just mixed the noodles into the sauce and placed the chicken on top of pasta to keep them crunchy. I personally am not too fond of tomatoey sauces but this was really Yummy! The sauce had heat but not too hot, even my 11 year old who hates hot stuff liked it, even went back for seconds. The whole family loved it! I will make this again soon!
I added onion, celery, garlic and carrots to this soup and used 1% milk instead of cream and it was delicious! Thick and creamy and totally yummy! We all loved it! Will make it again!
These were ok... I personally couldn't taste the tuna in them, just the soy/teriyaki... perhaps I mixed it too much but they were a bit mushy on the inside... actually my oldest absolutely loved them, gobbled them up actually, the rest of us ate them but didn't have a lot to say.
Ok, even my vegetable-loathing son loved this! He actually ate 2 helpings! That may not mean much to you, but for me, just plain amazing. I took the advice of others and saute`d the spinach and mushrooms together with just a little garlic and put it on the bottom. Then I just took some raw chicken tenders and chopped them into bite size pieces and placed them on top of the spinach, then topped with the sauce... Baked at 350 for 20-25 minutes, then topped with mozzarella and bumped up the heat to 400 for another 10 minutes. I also used a 16 oz. bag of chopped spinach, well drained, instead of the canned because I find canned spinach to be mushy and was afraid it would turn everyone off by its appearance. Served on top of thin spaghetti seasoned with a little butter, fresh parsley, garlic and pepper... Way easy and Definately a Yum-O dish!
I did what some others did and cooked the shrimp in the marinade along with some chopped broccoli, slivered carrots, sliced mushroom and sliced green onion. It wasn't fantastic but not bad either, not much different than other stir-fries I have thrown together... I do realize it wasn't meant to be a stir-fry so I will probably try it again and follow recipe as it is called for... Good enough to try again... thanks!
I am giving this recipe 3-stars because we didn't find it to be fantastic but it wasn't bad either. Only thing I did differently is... I added some frozen mixed veggies and just a little salt, pepper and minced fresh parsley to the sauce. I also cooked the chicken and before adding the biscuit (only used 1 can, and it seemed to be more than enough) I removed the chicken and shredded it... which made it nice to be able to just dig in when it was ready. Seemed to taste a little like something you could get from a box. Trust me, that's not a bad thing, this recipe was super simple and tasty enough... I will just have to do some thinking on how to change it up just a tad to excite "my" family... Thanks for the recipe just the same! :)
I personally thought this recipe was very tasty, the family wasn't big on the sweet sauce but that dislike has nothing to do with the quality of this recipe. I found it to be very remanicent of Costco's meatloaf they have for ready to bake meals, which I also enjoy but now I can make it at home myself! Thanks for the recipe!!!
All I can say is WOWZERS!!! This is one fantastic recipe... my entire family loved it! Even the husband who really hates chicken! I changed very little about the recipe... I used just 1/2 a cup of sugar (because we are watching our sugar intake levels) and rice wine vinegar instead of distilled because that is what I had on hand! Best Sesame Chicken Ever!!! Definately Restaurant Quality and Easy! Will become a regular on our table! Thanks so much for the recipe!
