Ruth Phillips

I am 58, married, a retired teacher and absolutely loving my life. I have done animal rescue work for almost 30 years and my husband and I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of our own.

Right out of college I began teaching high school at the same time a friend and I began a small catering business. It was great fun, but totally exhausting, and it gave me a real respect for anyone who loves doing it enough to be willing to work the incredibly long hours it takes to succeed! After 6 months, though extremely successful it became obvious it was not the business for me.
