Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

I've made this twice in the last month for different groups of friends/family. Both times it was very well received. Neither group were hardcore foodies but both enjoyed it. Very easy to make. I served this with with roasted potatoes and ceasar salad. Another time I might try a taco or greek salad. I was working with 12 inch bamboo skewers (soaked in water to prevent burning on the BBQ). Each skewer was assembled with 4 to 5 cubes of chicken, 2 whole white mushroom, 3 pieces of red/green peppers and 2 pieces of red onions.

I was recently looking for a new (to me) chicken recipe and stumbled across this last week. I'd heard of it but never had chicken this way. I was impressed and so was my partner. Neither of us are fans of sherry but I decided to follow the recipe to the letter. I'm glad I did; the flavour was awesome (as was the aroma in the kitchen!) I served it with rice and green beans.

Smoked Turkey Tortilla Wraps

Looking for a simple but elegant lunch time meal? I've served these wraps to family and friends - it's always a big hit. Recently I've started adding pear slices. Tastes great. I usually serve this with a ceasar salad. When I'm feeling lazy I've used store-bought guacamole (rather than peeling and slicing avacado) but don't overdo it or it will ooze out the end of your wrap!

Slow Cooker Ham

I was a little skeptical about this recipe -- it seemed too simple. But then how could 400+ reviewers be wrong :) I used this recipe for Easter dinner with my parents and it was awesome. We had it with scalloped potatoes and vegetable. The only comment I would make is 8 hours was probably a little too long. If I do it again I'll plan on 6.5 to 7 hours.

Great salad for pot luck lunches at work! I cook the pasta and prepare the other ingredients the night before then assemble at the party. It's simple to make and tastes great. This salad has been a big hit with co-workers.

Turkey Sloppy Joes

I'll be generous and give this three stars. Was it bad? No. It just tasked like chicken burgers with the condiments mixed in. I see the novelty in this approach but maybe I'm just not a sloppy joe kinda person.
