Muncher

Being of Asian descent I learned early on how important food was as a tool for communication. My mother never hesitated to show her disdain for a host/hostess that failed to ask whether or not we had eaten. Even if there was no food prepared, asking is the key to solidifying early friendships. And so when I moved out of my family's home and in with various roommates and later significant others, I showed love by cooking their favorite foods, or testing out a recipe that I think they would enjoy. I get great satisfaction out of seeing a loved one savoring the flavors of a dish that I made with them in mind. And to this day, when I visit my mom I can be sure that as soon as I step through the front door, I will hear her call out, "Have you eaten?" and it still brings a smile to my face.

Comfort food Baked Macaroni and Cheese

I created a simple Mac and Cheese that's easy to make but doesn't skimp out on taste!

Chesapeake Shrimp with Linguini & Vodka Sauce

Zesty shrimp with pasta perfectly complimented with a creamy sauce. This was the first meal my boyfriend and I ever made together. It's so simple to make and everytime I eat it I am astonished at how so few ingredients can pack such a punch. Deee-lish!
