I was born and raised in Houston, TX. Besides Texas, I have lived in Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New York. I've visited every U.S. state, most of Europe, Asia, Central America, the Caribbean, and some of South America... So I have had extensive taste experiences throughout my life, which is partially why I love to cook. The other reason is, of course, my mom. She used to prepare a home cooked meal almost every day when I was growing up... I always admired her cooking and aspired to be as good as she was in the kitchen.

Russell Roast with gravy

This is a simple yet excellent way to prepare a roast. You may substitute brisket as a different meat option. The gravy is created during the cooking process, and no other preparation is necessary! In addition, if you have time, you can cook this recipe in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours to result in the most tender meat.
