This was EXCELLENT, delicious and beautiful. I used canned diced tomatoes with chipolte which I'm sure gave it added zing. Put it on a platter, sprinkled with cheddar cheese and drizzled it with the balsamic vinegar. We felt like we were in a fancy restaurant. Can't wait to fix it for guests.
I was skeptical, having grown up making "old fashioned" chicken and dumplings but this was a keeper. I made a couple of changes per other reviews...one can cream of chicken soup, one cream of mushroom and one chicken broth plus a little bit of milk. Seasoned frozen chicken breasts, thighs and legs with onion powder, poultry seasoning and pepper. Made Bisquick dumplings and cooked for about 45 minutes on high. Next time I will probably use low salt soups because it was a little too salty but still great.
Easy, delicious and impressive. I used a pre-packaged oreo cookie crust, a little less whipped topping on top and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It's always a hit!
Love this on toasted french bread that has been rubbed with a little olive oil & garlic. Try it with goat cheese--delicious!!
