my family loved this bars, will make them again.
I made them a week ago and my family love them, here in Mexico there pretty expensive if you buy them at the store, turn out to be an economical way to enjoy bagels, I did let it raise for extra 30 minutes after baking I had store them in the frezeer until use the toaster to have a nice breakfast, today I will make more per my daugther request but I will use 1 cup whole wheat flour and boil them with brown sugar instead of white sugar.
I used whole wheat instead and brown sugar in the boiling water, and turn out delicious, my daughter ate one rigth out of the oven with cream cheese. great recipe!
I'm very disapointed with this recipe, the dougth did not rise as mentioned, I had work with yeast with several recipes from this site and this is the first time that does not work as the recipe saids
I had bake this cake for over 3 times now, my family and co-workers loved it, but I have to low the calories for my and my daugther to enjoy without feel guilty, so I had substitute 1 cup sugar sustitute, 1 cup & 1/4 soy oil (in mexico it calls nutrioli) 1 cup whole wheat flour and increase the grated carrots up to four cups, I baked them in tuna fish can's for individual cakes on a cookie sheet for 60 minutes due to the extra carrot added, they turn out fluppy and very yummy. I gave it five starts due to the sustituve ingredients still the same nice carrot cake.
for flavor I will give the recipe 4 stars but the muffins came out too dense, I got 18 instead of 24 but very flatten and I do not know how opal did to take the pic show on the recipe but does not worked. sorry Anna.
I gave it 4 stars due to the flavor, I had make 12 muffins, I substitute plain yogurth instead of milk and I add two teaspoon lemon extract turn out to be delicious.
Great recipe, I did substitute 1 cup & a half whole wheat flour to make it digestive and it turn up so delicius my mother loved the crust, thanks for the recipe.
My husband asked me to bake these muffins he only saw the pictures, they were delicious but too sweet for us, I did not use the crumbs on the muffins added pecans instead, next time I will make them with whole wheat flour and reduce the sugar and use soy oil instead of butter.
very nice sandwiches (if you are not watching your weigth) I added pepper, but I feel something is missing in the flavor, but my mom liked it.
