I love iced tea, but I found this to be a little tart, like a cross between iced tea and lemonade. I would recommend reducing the amount of lemon.
Great sandwich! You definitely only need one avocado, though. And since the bread was already spread with cream cheese, I chose not to mash the avocado and spread it on the bread. I just sliced the avocado and added it to the sandwich.
Tastes like punch. It's o.k., but I wouldn't make it again.
The filling was extremely salty from the dried beef. I made this for a church finger-foods potluck, and was disappointed to find that hardly anyone touched it. As I stood wondering why, I was horrified to overhear someone say, "What do you think is in the celery?" The other person replied, "It looks like corned beef hash. Yuck!" and they passed it by. It was disappointing that almost everyone bypassed it. It obviously looked unappealing, confirmed by the comment I overheard. But since it was so salty, they didn't miss out by not choosing it. I'll never make this again!
Surprisingly good! A keeper! Easy & tasty. A cross between tuna and egg salad.
Good dressing, but I can't say it was outstanding. Needs garlic, oregano, etc. for a little more flavor or zip.
Extremely easy. However, the flavor was just average, and it did not cut uniformly into squares - pieces splintered into jagged pieces. Will not make again.
Interesting cake, but not outstanding. It does resemble a Twinkie. I made it for a get-together and was disappointed that no one made any favorable comments about it nor requested the recipe. Will not make it again.
This is a fabulous cake - outstanding! Very impressive and gourmet tasting! I made it for a gathering, and everyone profusely praised it and wanted the recipe. Absolutely the best, and easy too! Not inexpensive, though, since Kahlua and 1 1/2 cups pecans aren't cheap, but I must say this cake is worth every penny! Thanks for sharing the recipe!!My only suggestion would be to downsize the Cool-Whip from 12 oz. to 8 oz. size. There was so much frosting that I discarded some of it. I also think by downsizing the Cool-Whip that the flavor of the vanilla pudding would show through a little more and enhance the frosting. I highly recommend this cake!
This salad was a big hit at a luncheon where I served it. Everyone went back for seconds and also requested the recipe. Very attractive. I ordered sumac powder from Penzeys Spice Company for this. If you like ethnic/Mediterranean food, you'll love this!
This recipe definitely needs some enhancement as it was rather bland! I added salt and oregano. I would decrease the amount of red onion (was overpowering) and possibly increase the oil and vinegar. If you do all of this, I think you'll be much better satisfied with the results. I'll make it again, but only by enhancing it as I've stated here.
