We loved this recipes. We added steamed brocolli & doubled the sauce. Extra sauce is a must! Next time I would brown chicken. Also think this would be great without chicken, just plain or with sauted veggies.
I had a hard time finding a 10 inch deep pie pan...but finally found a pretty nice one at Kmart(of all places). The Martha Stewart collection has a nice(really deep) beige colored one that worked pefectly for this pie. Now to the pie, I found it to be a little sweet. I would probably use a tart fruit (like blueberries, as suggested by others)next time I make it. I cooked for 10 minutes extra & it came out perfect. This recipe has potential...but I personally would change the fruit.
This was pretty good. I would probably season a little differently next time & maybe add a potato. I think I would have loved it as a kid, just a tad bland as an adult. Happy that I added fresh mushrooms & a few extra biscuits. Will make again, just spice it up. One last thing, use frozen peas instead of canned.(I just thawed a little in the microwave)Tatses much better!
This was very good! The marinated artichokes really added a nice flavor. Added sauted mushrooms, which I thought was nice addition. Did not cover sauce while cooking & let it cook down a little so no problems with being watery. (Also left pan in oven for extra time) Used chiken broth, since could not find vegetable. My husband thought this was great. Good leftovers. Will make this again!
Loved this recipe. Have made it several times, always good. We did not find it spicy at all. Makes alot, but great as leftovers! Topped with lettuce, tomato, green onion, taco sauce, & sour cream. I did have to cook alittle longer than recipe asked.
We really liked this dish! Agree with others that it would be great for a potluck. Used 4lbs potatoes(cut into squares), 4 1/2c of ham, doubled the cheese & green onions, cut down alittle on butter, & didn't add salt. The bread crumbs seemed to be way over the top, but once cooked were pretty good. Will maybe add less next time & mix butter/bread crumbs before adding(as someone suggested). Had to use a larger baking dish & cook longer(since the center was still cool). Overall a great dish. Thanks!
Loved this! I hated, hated, hated Stroganoff growing up!(sorry mom, who is a great cook by the way) I made this for my husband who likes Stroganoff & what a surprise! This was really good! The only thing I changed was that I used fresh mushrooms, which I added about 45 minutes into cooking.(meant to add garlic but forgot)The meat was so tender & cooked perfectly. The wine really adds to this recipe. Might make alittle extra gravy next time, since it's so good on the rice and/or noodles. Great recipe, Thanks!
Really didn't care for this. I must have done something wrong since my sauce seperated. Might attempt this again but not anytime soon. Sorry!
I have made these a few times & my husband loves them! He came home from work last night & saw the big pot of "stuff" boiling on the stove. Once I told him what it was going to be, he gave me a big hug. It is a really cleaver idea & so easy to make! We love garlic so I may add alittle extra next time, but didn't change much else. I could see this being a great recipe for kids. Thanks for the recipe!
I would give this ten stars if I could! LOVED THIS! I have never made a cheese cake in my life & what a first! I did follow suggestions of others. I used the crust recipe off of the Graham Cracker Crumb box, mixed sugar & cream cheese with mixer then mixed the rest by hand(being careful not to over mix), greased bottom & sides of springform, wrapped (outside)bottom & sides of pan with foil & used a water bath, & cooked at 325 since I have a dark pan. Cooked until top started to turn light golden. It came out perfect! No cracks. The only thing I would suggest is mixing in all ingredients BEFORE adding the flour. The first time I made it the vanilla & flour formed small brown lumps, but tasted fine. Try it with the "Raspberry Sauce" recipe that is on this site(as someone else suggested). This cheese cake is MAGICAL! Thanks!
You have to try this on "Chantal's New York Cheesecake" recipe from this site! A winning combination! I stunned myself, my friends, & my family with this combo. Felt like a gourmet chef!
I'm sorry...I didn't like this. It was way too bland. If you do try it, I would use at least half (if not all) italian sausage instead of hamburger. I followed the recipe as it was writen & the hamburger didn't do much for the recipe. I would also add alot of spices. Would not try it again.
