never written a review before but absolutely had to! These are divine, honestly. Like everyone else, i messed around with the recipe a bit and it is a huge hit in this household and at the cop shop where i work with a whole lotta fussy guys. I used 1/2 white and 1/2 brown sugar like most, and think it might be able to even use less. I didn't use raisins or nuts but i DID add one banana which seemed to give it moisture. Also threw in a half cup of flax seeds, just for the health of it. Oh! and the big kicker??? I put in 2 T of pumpkin pie spice. seemed to give it a nice bit of oomph all i can say is....scrumdillyicious!

updating my review a couple years later: Still using this recipe weekly. I have gotten so lazy about it. I put in 3 cups of oats and 3.5 cups of whatever (nuts/raisins/seeds/chocolate and always coconut) then add the condensed milk. I skip the butter totally. How easy is that?? 3 cups of this....3.5 cups of that ...some condensed milk and you're done! try it...it's a great recipe. my original review said : scrumptious recipe and wickedly easy! I lined a 9x13 pan with parchment paper and gave it a teeny spray of veg.oil stuff and it literally tipped right out of the pan. I used orange craisins, a little less chocolate chips, almond slivers, coconut and flax seeds. They turned out perfectly for flavour. Only concern? Browned a bit too much on the edges. Seriously great though...thanks for sharing this and all the tips that went along with it!

great recipe - thanks! The oysters were so easy to open, it was unbelievable. In the future I would skip the peppercorns, only cuz I'm not a huge fan. Someone's tip to serve with lemon wedges and tobasco sauce was handy too and made these oysters a huge hit with my fella. The presentation is great, the recipe is easy and the taste devine. I'd give three thumbs up but i only have two!

Cake Mix Cookies V

I was very hesitant to try these, having never made "cake mix" cookies and because i was concerned about the cakey texture. WRONG! They turned out excellent. I skipped the nuts but did everything else as directed and they are very popular in my household. They are crispy on the outside and a little softer on the inside, they look very nice and taste as though they are made "from scratch". Definitely a time saver and the only reason it's only getting 4 stars is cuz i feel guilty about cheating with the cake mix!!! ;)

i have made these a million times. They are very easy, verrrrry attractive and a pleasant change from the usual array of cookies. Not to mention the fact that they freeze fabulously. Ok...it's really the fact that they are so incredibly simple that makes them my fave! I'll admit it.
