We loved the dish but made a few changes to "marry" the flavors better. We sauted the chicken pieces separately and then the onion. We added that to the rice part way through cooking, along with shrimp and pieces of a good poultry chorizo sausage which was packaged fully cooked. We added a couple tablespoons of white wine at that time also. Great aroma and flavor.
