This recipe is great. My boyfriend, who is not a big fan of potatoes even loved it! Next time I will add a more cheddar cheese into the potatoe mix. Also, my potatoes were pretty large so i used a whole slice of american cheese on top. It was great me and my boyfriend loved them, and then three of my friends had one the next day and loved them too, they heated up again great.
My boyfriend who loves macaroni and cheese did not like this dish at all. I didn't like it much either. I went by the recipe just as it calls for, but it seemed dry and just didn't taste great.
Very easy to make. I made it for a new years party and my guests all liked it. I thought it was good but not great. My friend makes one that is great, next time I will ask her for her recipe.
Seriously, the name says it all. It was both the best that me and my boyfriend have ever eaten, and we love italian food and have tried many lasagnas before, and not one comes close to this recipe. The only changes that I made is I used 1.5 lbs of beef, I used mild italian sausage instead of sweet, I did not add the salt, used half the sugar, and added a little extra mozzerella cheese. None of those are big changes, and I got the idea from other reviews. It did take a lot of time! But it was well worth it. Next time though, I think that I will prepare it the day before as others have mentioned. But I can not get enough of it, the leftovers are great, they taste as good as fresh out of the oven.
Very good recipe. Although I feel there is too much spinach flavor. I will definately make this recipe again, although I will reduce the amount of spinach. Other then that it was very good!
Ended up great but i give it four stars because i made some of the changes that were recommended by other reviewers. I used half the cornmeal and doubled the flour. I left it in the mix for 30 min, dipped it in a egg and milk mix, and then another 10 min in the mix. As for the breading sticking, i noticed that if i only put in a small amount of the zuccini in the oil then they cooked golden brown very fast and the breading was perfect and stayed on; however, if i put more of the zuccini in the oil it took a lot longer to cook and the breading did not stick that well. Overall, they were very good, but that was because of the suggested changes. (Also, I only used zuccini because the onions somehow never made it into my house from the store.)
This recipe is perfect! I loved it, my boyfriend loved it and so did my friend. My boyfriend is picky and doesn't really like speghetti, but he loved this. All the cheese makes it perfect! The only changes I made was adding fresh garlic and seasoned the beef while cooking it. It is so easy and very yummy and the left overs are great; which is great because I can bring the leftovers for lunch all week long and not have to worry about what I am going to have for lunch! Amazing recipe, 5 stars!
Absolutely amazing! I had never made fried chicken before and was really worried about how it would turn out. My boyfriend and I agreed that it was the best fried chicken we had EVER had! I did mix in a lot of extra flour, and when cooking if a piece of batter fell off I would just put flour on top of it and it stayed on. This is the best recipe ever. I have already given it to my mom and a few friends and my boyfriend already wants me to make it again (I only made it the day before yesterday!). Oh, I also added a little garlic powder, onion flakes, paprika, ect. for extra flavor. UPDATE: I now make this recipe all the time. The key is to keep the oil really hot and only cook a few pieces at a time and the breading stays on. ENJOY!
As others had said, I had to use 2 to 3 times as much cheese to get a thick consistancy. Next time I will probably just use the right amount of cheese and halve everything else because it ended up making a lot more then I needed. Also, next time I will use more cheddar and less swiss, but thats just a personal preference. Overall, it is a very good cheese sauce. I will definately make it again with the changes I mentioned.
I did not like this recipe at all. I spent over $15 on the lean ground beef alone. I did add mozzarella cheese, but I love mozzarella and it works with almost all tomato pasta recipes. I think the cream cheese is what ruined it, it tasted very weird. It was an easy recipe, but was not worth the amount of cleaning required afterwards. Maybe it would be good if prepaired without the cream cheese. Anyway, I will not make this again.
This is so perfect. I can now cut an hour and a half off the cooking time of my famous twice baked potatoes! This is simple, easy, and they taste the same as if cooked in the oven.
I made this for the second time last night and it was even better than the first time! Both my boyfriend and I loved it!!!! I used more chicken than called for, used a lot more garlic, and added an extra layer of noodles and therefore more cheese. This is a great recipe, the leftovers are even better than the first night! This is a great recipe to make at the beginning of the week so you can eat the leftovers for lunch during the week. This is a great recipe to serve to guests, as everyone who has tried it has said they LOVED it! However, I would plan for more time than they mentioned; the cook time is correct, but the prep time took me a lot longer. This could be due to the fact that I don't think they add cooking the chicken but plan for more time or else you might be eating dinner at 8pm like me. :) Anyway, this deserves all five stars!
