Sunflower

I'm learning. Honestly, I've spent most of my life a complete disaster in the kitchen, but after living on my own for a few years, I've grown quite tired of Ramen noodles. I'm cathcing on, slowly, but the learning process is fun and yummy (most of the time.) I'm teaching myself to be a great cook, and I've really come to love allrecipes. It's such a great place for information and inspiration. I enjoy learning about the world through food. Exploring ingredients and cuisine's of the world.

These are perfect! I used fresh green beans, and followed the directions as written. The almonds are a great addition. I'll be making these again.

This steak was perfect. I did replace the red wine with white wine because it's what I had on hand, and it made a nice light sauce. I want to try this again with a bolder red wine. Really easy to make and very good.

Lemon Chicken III

I thought this was good, but I found the lemon flavor of this to be a bit too strong. I only marinated the chicken for about 2 hours. The flavor was good, the chicken was tender, and the texture was really nice. Just a bit too lemony for me.

Really tasty, easy Monday night dinner. The only change I made was adding a bit of onion powder to the flour mixture before dredging the chicken, on the advice of another reviewer. I served the chicken with roasted carrots and slices of Italian bread. This one's a keeper!

This was the highlight of the meal! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. The Teriyaki sauce added a good flavor without over-shadowing the Zucchini, and I loved the addition of the toasted sesame seeds. This will be a permanent addition to all of my Asian-inspired dinners.

Cinnamon Coffee Bars

We really enjoyed these. My sister is allergic to walnuts, so I made half of the pan with walnuts and half without. The results were yummy both ways. I'll be making these again, I think next time I'll substitute espresso for coffee to enhance the coffee flavor a bit. Thanks for the recipe!

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

I'm always looking for healthier versions of my favorite foods, and these chicken fingers were the perfect substitution for the calorie-laden chicken wings I love. I like super-spicy food, so I made a few changes to up the heat level. I used chicken tenders (that's what we had in the fridge) and marinated them in a mixture of tabasco sauce, Open-pit barbecue sauce and cayenne pepper for about 2 hours. Based on the other reviews, I doubled the flour mixture and had more than enough, and almost tripled the cayenne. The results were really tasty, but still not quite spicy enough for me. I'll definitely make these again and try to up the heat a bit more. Thanks for the recipe, easy to make, a great, healthy week night dinner!

Zesty Red Potatoes

These had a good kick to them! I love red potatoes, and the onions were yummy. We love spicy food, so I added extra red pepper flakes because I was afraid they wouldn't be hot enough, but they really didn't need it. Really easy to make too. Thanks.
