This is a winner! I changed a couple things and think this dish is fantastic. I didn't use any lettuce at all. I wanted to use the seaweed but my local store didn't have any so I substituted some prepared seaweed salad. I actually think this is what made the dish, it added almost all of the flavor before any dressing was used. I winged the dressing, added seasame seeds and just tinkering with it until it tasted the way I wanted, I didn't have any wasabi but I could have went either way using it or not. I cooked my rice in my rice cooker and threw some in the fridge to cool, very important, use cool rice only. I will definitely make this time and time again.
I don't know what happened with this recipe.....it came out horrible for me. The finished product spread when it was cooking making a total mess in my oven. It actually tasted really good(when does butter and sugar ever taste bad) but it ended up about 1/4 inch tall. I will try again because it was so simple maybe I'll just make one batch instead of doubling it. If it works next time, I will rate it again.
It looked wonderful and tasted very good. I made it for Thanksgiving for a very picky crowd. The only thing I did not like was the runny consistancy. I don't think it was supposed to look like baby food. I'll make it again another time and will either add another egg, or add more sweet potatoes.
My husband bought me a bread machine a few weeks ago so I have been making different breads here and there. Mainly because we truly want to avoid the preservatives and high fructose that is found in most bread. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try. I made this recipe exactly to the letter. My only problem was I put it in the oven for 25 minutes when it probably should have been more like 20 or at least I should have been looking at it at the 20 minute make. Nevertheless, the bread was a darker brown but tasted delicious!! Very rich, mildly sweet and wonderful. It deserves 5 stars!!!
I have made this recipe at least 3 times, it is ABSOLUTELY the best. We eat it with the cabbage and over rice but it is so hard to not pick through the meat after you are totally full. Very moist...if there are leftovers the next next morning we cook it up with egg, green bell pepper and onion and eat ina tortilla. Great recipe!!
Good recipe, it was a hit but they ended up looking like little hats, perhaps I used too much cheese. I also added a little red pepper so it had a nice little kick. I may make it again, they did taste great but presentation wasn't what I expected.
This was the BEST. Made it for a discriminating family, it turned out excellent. I pretty much went by the recipe for the most part but added some mexican spices for a little saltier taste. Will surely make again.
The family loved this one. It was so pretty that my husband actually took a picture of it, will make sure he uploads it to show. I nixed the feta and added bacon, it was a huge hit!!
Wonderful recipe, very hearty. I used italian sausage and we at alone and over beans. The soup got better as the days went on. Very good!!
I just took my banana bread out of the oven!! MMMMMM. I had been looking for a banana bread recipe for a while since our family always seems to end up with over ripe bananas. I doubled the recipe, used all whole wheat flour, added cinnamon and nutmeg(eyeballed that) and added walnuts. Dough was pretty sticky looking and thick but I decided not to stray from the original recipe and add anything further to "soften" it up. My batter cooked in two 9x5's in only 55 minutes, in fact it could have been done in 50 but I was surfing the web and not checking. This came out great, not to thick, not too dry. Tasted nice and buttery with wonderful overtones of banana. This one is a winner!!
Great recipe! Loved the lemony-salty taste and you can't go wrong with anything with avocado in it!! Will make this one again and again
Very tasty, I used organic peanut butter so I had sit the crust in the fridge for a little while to harden, but it came out great. The kids at way too much of it too fast!!
