this was an amazing quiche. it also happened to be the first time i've ever tried a quiche. it was nice and easy. i will say that i accidentally used a pie crust, but it still turned out fine. the ham made it slightly salty, so this isn't for a low-salt dieter. but otherwise, it was amazing and i can't wait to make it again!

Tiramisu Layer Cake

This is an amazing cake. Admittedly, when you make it, it doesn't quite look like the picture. The frosting's a bit yellower and the chocolate curls aren't going to come out as well, but it tastes great. I've taken it to quite a few parties, and each time, it's disappeared instantly!

Warm Apple Buttermilk Custard Pie

This was a pretty good pie, but don't make it the day before and reheat it. I used 1 cup of sugar for the filling, and 1/2 cup of both granulated and brown sugar for the topping. I only regret that I had to leave it until the next day.

about 15 min in, i checked them and they looked a bit too crunchy on the outside, so i covered them with foil and put them back in for another 10-15 min. the result-crusty outside and moist inside! absolutely delicious!

Beef Stroganoff

oh my goodness i could've died and gone to heaven right then and there. i used pasta shells instead of the long noodles, basically because they were handy, and it turned out even greater than i expected. definitely a keeper!

absolutely great! i also added a little (or a lot) extra raspberry vinaigrette, and some grapefruit slices. had a great flavor, and no one wanted to move on to the next course. :)

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

this was excellent, even though i had no potatoes handy, i just used a bit more corn. the only thing was the pepper-y taste, which was a bit much for my tastes.

Luscious Slush Punch

i made two batches and it still wasn't enough to keep a party of 20 satisfied! it also works well if you don't have time to freeze the punch. the only thing might be that it's a bit too sweet; i added a little bit of ginger ale to dilute it.

these were AMAZING. what i actually did was cut the tops of those small, red potatoes off, and hollowed them out. i baked them a bit, then piped the mashed potatoes and yams into the small potatoes. when people saw them, the orange yams, green rosemary, and red potatoes just left them speechless (not to mention the flavor)!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are great! I've used many variations, such as chocolate pudding and white chocolate chips, and vanilla pudding with white chocolate chips and Craisins. Anything and everything goes! Note: when they're fresh out of the oven, they're really soft. Let sit for a few minutes so they don't fall apart as you try to pick them up. EDIT: these taste GREAT, but to make them look beautiful as well, first refrigerate the dough to make it easier to handle. Roll however much dough you want your cookie to be into a perfect ball, then use the heel of your hand to squash it to about the thickness you want the final cookie to be. Beautiful AND delicious!
