This was a hit with my family. I made it for the fourth of July & there wasn't any leftovers. I will make it again! I did let the cream cheese harded before I put the jell-o on top. It did work better.
All I can say is, you out did yourself girl !!!!!! It was great ! The only thing I did different, was put a little more cinnamon in the recipe. I doubled it so I could can some of it. After putting it in the jars, I did the water bath for 20 min. (after boiling).
Liked it very much, but changed the nuts. I don't like brazil nuts, so I put walnuts in. I also made small cakes to give as gifts to my mail carrier, trash man, paper women and Schwan man. I also printed out the recipe for them. They were all excited.
This is a great recipe. We also use it for Valentine's day for the grandkids. Just slice strawberries to make it look like hearts, dip in a little lemon juice to stay fresh. Lay on paper towel to catch extra juice & lay them on top the cool whip. They love it. You can also let them help decorate. Even my kids love it.
This was really good. Had it for a party & everyone loved it. Am going to make it again for an ornament exchange party. This one is a keeper!
