I used to work at a Mexican resturant where I had to make gaucamole at guests table (cheezy, i know)..... People would tell me that they drove 25 min out of their way ect ect..... just for the gaucamoli. The recipe is almost the same, except we'd use 2 avocados, RED onion (not yellow- yuk), and diced jalepenos. We didn't use garlic or pepper, but they sound like good additions. Can't forget the jalepenos! I personally like mine with a little extra veggies. yum!
my bf and i made this the other night. we added spinach, some sundried-tomatoe cream cheese, and lots of garlic. we agreed that it was probably one of the best sauces we'd ever had. Amazing. Although - we had a ton leftover and it wasn't as good when reheated. It thickened up a lot too. We spread some of the leftovers onto pita bread (thats how much it thickened in the fridge lol)and baked it - made hot sandwiches - it was still amazing.. very good flavor. This is going into the recipe box! :)
i made these for dinner tonight. I didn't have big baking potatoes, so i used idahos. They were kinda - bite sized. They were delicious. My fiances cousin was over for dinner, so i made a ton. There still were no leftovers. They liked them so much, they were gone before the main dish. We'll definately make them again.
I made this tonight. My hubby was workin later, and he usually doesn't eat soup... which sucks because I'm a huge soup lover... I changed a few things, to my taste. First of all, i almost doubled the noodles. I sauteed the onion with some garlic cloves, and also added corn and peas... added a couple chicken bullion cubes and just a lil cream of chicken.. delish! my husband got home, and i TRIED to get him to eat some... he LOVED IT! i've never gotten him to eat soup before. I'm adding this to my recipe box :)
