Sesame Beef

Rating: 4.5 stars 1033
Strips of round steak and chopped scallions are marinated with soy sauce and garlic, then quickly stir fried with sesame seeds. Add a little sesame oil to the marinade if you like that flavor. Serve with rice.

Baked Ziti

Rating: 4.5 stars 8680
A surprisingly easy and tasty baked pasta dish with three types of cheese.

Smoked Mozzarella and Pesto Sandwich

Rating: 4 stars 11
Just made this for myself and it was so amazing that I had to share my recipe! Use fresh smoked mozzarella and not the American version of that stiff mozzarella. Can be found in gourmet and specialty shops. I also add Provolone, but havarti, Swiss or yogurt cheese can also be used. You can make just one sandwich or use a long sourdough or French roll for a semi-large gathering.

Lima and Navy Bean and Ham Soup

Rating: 4.5 stars 65
This is my creation of a Lima/Navy bean soup. After years of practice and trying many variations, I like this one the best. It's a dinner by itself and so good.

Middle Eastern Turkey Dogs

Rating: 4.5 stars 80
This is a VERY simple way to enjoy Middle Eastern flavors in an American format... the hot dog! Serve on a bun or wrapped in a pita. I like adding banana-ketchup, but any condiment will do! Tahini might be appropriate. Rice or couscous or an Israeli salad would make a fine side dish. Use ground turkey with a 7% or 8% fat content, as the super lean turkey will be harder to cook with.

Oriental Chicken Salad

Rating: 4.5 stars 35
'This satisfying salad is crunchy, nutty and sweet all at the same time,' relates Barb Mickelson of Glenwood, Iowa. 'To speed up preparation, I use chow mein noodles instead of fried wonton wrappers called for in the original recipe,' Barb notes.

Chicken Broccoli Pot Pie

Rating: 4.5 stars 343
