I think I will put this on a bun next time, it reminded me of spicy sloppy joe mix with cabbage, it wasn't bad I think if I make it again I will add corn or green beans. It was missing something....
This was awesome, it was fast, delicious and even better the next day. I read some reviews and altered it just a bit. What I did was put the diced chicken ( I would recommend one more can of chicken) in the pot first, I turned on the burner and seasoned it with garlic salt and a dash of crushed red pepper, then I added all of the ingredients eliminating about half the Swansons chicken, adding two cans of condensed cream of chicken soup and a splash of Franks Red Hot sauce, some corn chips at the bottom of a bowl, topped with soup, a dollop of sour cream, finished off with mexican blend shredded cheese and voila a yummy dinner! This is definately a keeper!
I gave this a three because I wasn't all that impressed, my in-laws and husband loved it, I love beer, but it didn't turn out as I expected, I added a few things such as red potatoes, fresh garlic, Tony's, cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup. If I make it again I think I will try Bud or Bud Light rather than a local dark beer. And the chops were kinda dry,I make better, jucier ones on the grill. I'm sure it's an excellent recipe if you know what you are doing.
This was a very tasty dish, the pepper and onions gave it have a southwestern taste. We used fresh asparugus. Next time, because we will be making it again, we will use spanish rice, add green chiles, use sour cream instead of mayo and kick in some extra spices, we like things with a little heat!!
we loved it! we used the canned enchilada sauce and added more cheese.
I rate this a four souly on the taste of the meal. Very tasty with a tomato pesto alfredo sauce. Throw in the low cost and easy prep, this is easily a five star recipe.
It wasn't what we expected, however it wasn't terrible either, I thought it was too sweet and my husband didn't thing it was "hearty" enough. I prefer my stews to be more brothy, I like dipping rolls in the juices, but this had hardly any juice. We used a dark beer which I didn't care for too much. I have to add though that we ate the leftovers for dinner the next night and we added V8 tomato juice to it and it was definately alot better, I was able to dip my leftover rolls in it!
tasty, but sauce was too thin I even used tomato sauce instead of juice.
tasty and easy! it's a very open recipe you could add more to it if you wanted, we added green beans and we think that green chiles and fresh mushrooms would've made it super! I would also suggest more cream of mushroom soup, just enought o make it a little more creamy and not too runny. I also used more cheese which held it together alot better.
This dish tasted pretty good, I will use less chicken next time because 3 lbs is just way too much, there wasn't enough sauce to cover it all, I had to make more sauce and I would suggest using a brand name bbq sauce, this one was too ketchupy. Great on top of rice.
I MADE THIS FOR SUPERBOWL XLI AND EVERYONE LOVED IT!! GREAT RECIPE!
My mom made this recipe, she rated this a 5 and I trust her opinion because I think my mom is the best cook in the world!! But then again we all think our own mom is the best......she used pre-marinated chicken breast a garlic flavor and followed the recipe, she said she will make it again.
