Yorkshire Pudding II

I love this recipe! I make it to specs, except that I use Crisco instead of beef fat. As a vegetarian, I ate Yorkshire pudding growing up and wasn't willing to let it go. Just preheat the pan (with the Crisco in it) for about 5 minutes before pouring the batter in. It always rises well and comes out puffy and crispy.

Okra and Tomatoes II

I made a vegetarian version of this, which may have been the downfall of the recipe. While it wasn't bad, I don't think it's something I'd make again. It was pretty bland and mushy. Additionally, I'm not sure how the vinegar was supposed to help the slime. The outside of my okra was fine, it was the inside that was slimy.

This is awesome - we made it with all 12 habeneros both times. The first time we de-seeded them all, and it had almost no heat but was still tasty. The second time we de-seeded half, and it's perfect! Spicy but still delicious.

Chicken Honey Nut Stir Fry

This was good except for the orange juice - it was too much. I would recommend using about 2 tablespoons as opposed to the 3/4 cup. I don't think I would make this again.

I LOVE this recipe! Instead of chicken I use a vegetarian substitute (Quorn Tenders) and rather than the canned veggies, I put in a fresh mix of asparagus, peas, onions, carrots, and mushrooms. It is one of our favorite meals!

So good! I get a salad like this from a local deli and wanted to try and replicate it at home - this is perfect! Only changes were that I used half the amount of oil and split the vinegar with 1/2 white and 1/2 seasoned rice. Totally satisfied my craving - thanks!

I loved this! I made a few changes, but it was great. I am a vegetarian so I used one bag of Quorn "meatballs" instead of making my own. I also used a vegetable stock instead of chicken. The stock is very low sodium (45mg), so I added a little salt and pepper as well. Lastly, I don't really like lemon so I only used half, and it was actually a great addition. I put the green onion right in the broth, since I wasn't making my own meatballs. This soup was light and had tons of flavor without the salt. Will definitely be making this again.

I loved this! Great recipe - like we had in Lima. I couldn't find aji amarillo, so I substituted Hungarian Wax, which worked pretty well. I also added garlic and paprika after reading a few other recipes. Added a few pisco sours to go with it - perfect meal!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Pretty good - I cooked almost 4 lbs of pork tenderloin on low though, and it was done is just over 2 hours! Thankfully the recipe has a lot of liquid, so it didn't dry out while it sat waiting for dinner time. Nothing spectacular, but very easy and pretty tasty.

Yum! Easy to make, simple ingredients. Tasty - very tart, but I really liked that about it. Served it warm with homemade whipped cream.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were really good! I can't say they're the best cookie I've ever had, but they certainly better than most. The texture is especially nice - they're crispy and chewy all at one. Super easy to make too, even without a mixer (which is how I did it).
