This recipe was fantastic! All my family raved about it, including my brother who HATES anything seafood. (He even asked for another piece!)I was a little worried at first as it took a little longer that the specified time to cook the fish in the grill (i'm from Australia we don't call it a broiler), but in the end it turned out perfectly. I doubled the sauce and used the rest to serve over the vegies, and will probably do the same next time. A couple of things i changed: I have never heard of the fish used in the recipe(tilipa), - maybe we don't have it in Australia - so i just used a white fish from the supermarket. I did not add the lemon to the sauce but served the fish with a slice of lemon to squeeze over for each individual's taste. I also didn't add celery salt, but used garlic flakes and garlic salt, as my family love garlic. I will definitely use this recipe again... Thanks!
Made this recipe for my boyfriend for valentines day... needless to say he loved it and has told me he will never leave me. Only changes were that i added about a 500g (about a pound) of uncooked prawns(peeled and deveined) at the last minute and cooked until they were pink. Also used fettucine rather than penne, but thats just personal choice. A great base for a pasta sauce. Thanks!!!
I follwed the recipe as written and it turned out to be the most delicous cheesecake i had EVER tasted. My boyfriend ate 5 pieces and would have kept going if i hadn't have stopped him! This is a recipe that i will use again and again and again!!!!
Beautiful Recipe... yum! I also cooked the apples a little in the microwave to get them soft. Should have read the reviews a bit more though, definately should have doubled the cheesecake filling as there wasn't enough of that creamy taste. But still delicous enough for my family to gobble it up without even waiting for plates!
I'm giving this four stars because its delicous, but not my favourite main. The first time i made this i made it with store bought meatballs and realised my mistake when i tasted it. This is MUCH better with the meatballs included in the recipe, or with a recipe of your own. (i added some tomato and soy sauces and much more parmesan for flavour) After my first attempt I realised there needed to more of the cream cheese mix so i doubled that. The easiest way to keep it on the bread for me was to put all my bread cubes in the bottom of my dish and use a good spatula to spread it over all of them at once (This will only work when you make double to cream cheese). After these changes it tasted great!
One word from my family "Sensational". We have a much loved family recipe that i have used forever, and although they did like the other one better, they loved this one and were quite happy to have this meatloaf once in a while. Very moist and full of yummy flavour. I also did what a couple of other reviewers suggested and added a glaze i made up of ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. Thanks
At first glance i thought this would be a fantastic recipe. But after i made it for my family.... not so good. The inside of the pie was too runny, it did not thicken up at all. If i make it again i will definately use less soup or more chicken. The mushrooms also didnt help with the runny appearance, as they cook they tend to make excess liquid. And i will be sure to use other suggestions and use fresh vegies. The frozen made the pie taste really bland. Just not tast enough for my family.
I made it as directed and it was ok... T cheese made it a little clumpy. Then i made another batch with the taco seasoning as suggested by another reviewer and it was fantastic!... Without the cheese it was much easier to eat... but thanks for the basic recipe!
I loved it .. But it was a little sweet. Peaches are one of my favourite fruits so anything with them usually tastes great... it took me a lot longer than stated to cook it to a consistency at all like a cake or cobbler, for a long time it was just like raw cake mix. It was Good, but not the best ive had!
Yum, Yum, Yum! I have made 4 batches of these in 2 weeks and all have gone. Added whole oats to make them chewy and they were the perfect texture. My brothers kept stealing the batch i made for work, so i ended up having to make more to take. Everyone loved them! I didn't add the filling, they seemed naughty enough without the cream, and they were still amazing. Thanks
A great change to regular coleslaw. Being a great lover of any coleslaw or salad i loved it, but my family took a little persuading! I know this sounds totally strange, but my family have always had grated cheese in their coleslaw... Us Aussies are a strange bunch:), and i think next time i'll try that!
These are fantastic!!!! I hope everyone enjoys this recipe. Just a few notes to make them perfect: Watch the heat of the skillet as the bread toasts really quickly, never walk away as you will probably burn them. Turn the heat to approx medium, if not a little less. If you keep it low you can cook them a little longer without burning the bread and the cream cheese mix will go all creamy and gooey! Yummmmmmm :) I made these without the pink champagne the other morning as we didn’t have any on hand and the bottle shop wasn't open. They were just as good! Enjoy!
