  • Wash the basil leaves and drain the water. Chop the tomato and drain the excess of liquids.

  • Peel the garlic cloves and cut them into thin slices.

  • Mix the tomato, olive oil and garlic slices in a pan. Season it with salt and black pepper.

  • Take the pan on medium heat for about 20 to 25 minutes.

  • The sauce will be ready when the oil separates from the tomato. Try it and make any salt and pepper adjustments if needed.

  • Turn off heat.

  • One minute before the spaguetti is ready, reheat the sauce if needed. Turn off the heat and add the basil leaves.

  • Drain the spaguetti and add the sauce.

  • Serve immediately.
