Skillet Tofu with Mushrooms and Onions
Umami! Different flavor than expected, but delicious. Inspired by NYT Skillet Chicken recipe, also excellent.
It’s It cookie for ice cream sandwich
An old fashioned It’s It is a storied treat on the San Francisco waterfront. These are close to the what I remember.
Easy Tomato Gazpacho
A delicious use for dead ripe tomatoes, this simple blenderized gazpacho does not rely on tomato juice, as too many do. This is very flexible; use more or less of whatever you like. This is a mash up of what looked good in several recipes I found on the web and in cookbooks.
These soft, dense, bright yellow cookies were a family tradition at Christmas. My mother had the recipe in a little booklet that was a gas station give-away (remember Dino the Dinosaur? was it Sunoco stations?). The torn old paper crumbled years ago. These cookies were a well-remembered mystery, which I longed for. My sister found these somewhere (go Ams). They match my recollection perfectly. I think the name refers to Norwegian currency, the krone, and these look like puffy golden coins.
Creamy Oven Baked Polenta with Squash
Easiest Polenta Ever! Bakes up creamy and delicious. You will never (ok, I will never) make polenta on the stovetop again.
Butternut Squash & Sage Lasagna
Squash and sage are perfect partners in this easy-cheesy, rich, lasagna.
Moroccan chicken tagine with garlic, onion, preserved lemons, fennel, olives and harissa
great spicy exotic chicken dish. I created this mashup of several recipes to inaugurate my new tagine, but I think any skillet, loosely covered, should work.
Easy oven baked real polenta - not instant!
Why stir polenta forever when this delicious recipe works beautifully?
Passover Popover Rolls- Ida's

Sally Lunn Bread for Bread Machine
This is a sweet rich traditional bread, revised for a bread machine, but should work fine for baking too.
