I wanted to make this dish for the base (my other half doesn't care for dumplings)...because, of course, Chef John NEVER disappoints! I took the advice of some of the other reviews and added a bit more seasoning, since I was using this as more of "chicken and rice" dish. I added a dash of poultry seasoning, garlic powder, dry parsley, dried cilantro, (and of course, cayenne, salt, and black pepper). Turned out INCREDIBLE. Thanks again, Chef John!!

Simple to make and very delicious! At 20 min, the carrots were done, so next time I will check to turn them at about 15 min. All ovens are different! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful recipe!
