Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce
Rating: Unrated

My whole family really enjoyed this recipe. In fact the reason I tried it was because of the reviews saying that kids really like this dish. I did change it a tad, which is why I only rated it 4 stars. I added two large cloves of garlic (diced) and five large button mushrooms (also diced), which I sauteed in the pan prior to adding the half and half (which I used in place of whipping cream). Like some other reviewers, I put the chicken over a bed of egg noodles, with a little extra sauce. My almost four year old twins said that dinner was "Deeelicious!" : ) Thanks for the great recipe!

I thought I followed the recipe exactly, but perhaps I did something wrong because mine turned out really limp. I tried putting them in the fridge to see if they would firm up a bit, but that didn't really help too much. Sounded good, but didn't materialize well for me.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Super easy and very good. I made two different batches: One with lemon cake mix, then rolled in powdered sugar. Then one with a Cinnamon Swirl cake mix and then rolled in cinnamon sugar, which ended up tasting very similar to a snickerdoodle - DELICIOUS! Thanks for a great base recipe!

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

My family really liked this. I made a few changes to suit my family. For the sauce I used frozen chopped spinach, sun dried tomatoes in herbs and oil, mushrooms, chicken broth, doubled the garlic, and added fat free half and half. I pureed the sauce so that my kids would eat it. Great way to get some extra veggies in. Thanks for the recipe.

Cheddar Biscuit Cups

These were pretty good. I doubled the recipe and followed another reviewers recommendation of using 1 cup of all purpose flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour. Adding the baking soda (only added 1/4 tsp salt) worked really well. I also added 1/4 tsp of garlic powder. My picky five year olds REALLY liked these. I'll definitely be making them again.

Brown Sugar Oatmeal Pancakes

My family really enjoyed these pancakes. I took the advice of some other reviewers and added vanilla and cinnamon, plus I used fat free half and half because I didn't have any buttermilk. These pancakes are VERY filling. Two small pancakes for an adult, and one small pancake for a child is plenty! I just served some fresh fruit and soy sausage with these pancakes and everyone in the family is stuffed. : ) Thanks for a great recipe.

Baked Pesto Chicken

This is a winner! The whole family loved it! I didn't have time to marinate the chicken like some other reviewers mentioned doing, but it still had an incredible pesto flavor and was very tender.

A little too bland in my opinion.

Sugar Cookie Icing

This worked well, nice taste and dried to a smooth, shiny finish. However, as other reviewers mentioned, I also had to add more milk to get the desired consistency. Note of caution, the recipe says that it is enough for one dozen cookies. This recipe is enough to accomodate icing several dozen cookies. I made the mistake of quadrupling this recipe to accomodate the 6 dozen sugar cookies I made. I could've doubled the recipe and still had more than enough icing for the 6 dozen cookies I made. I will definitely use this recipe again, I just won't feel the need to make quite so much. : )

Great taste and so simple to make. Made these with my 5 years olds. We got about 40 cookies out of this recipe, and rolled 1/2 in crushed walnuts and left the other 1/2 plain. We definitely preferred the plain half. Sometimes less is more. : ) I followed some of the earlier reviewers advice of using a clean chapstick cap for making the indents. I also put raspberry preserves into a sandwich bag, snipped the end and piped in a small amount to the indent - worked perfectly and the kids loved doing this part. Thanks for the recipe. I'll look forward to making these with the kids again next Christmas. : )

Spaghetti Pie with Cream Cheese

The whole family enjoyed this. I followed some of the reviewers advice and added in some ricotta cheese to the cream cheese/sour cream/green onion mixture, plus I mixed in some additional ricotta and sour cream to the buttered noodles. I also added 1/2 of a sauted yellow onion and 2 cloves of garlic to the browned ground turkey. This recipe makes A LOT, so luckily our family of four likes to eat leftovers - we'll be having it for dinner for the next several nights. : ) Thanks for the recipe.
