I made it as written. It was way too sweet (and I'm somebody who likes sweet). I probably won't make this again; if I do, I'll leave the caramel off altogether and just make apple bars.
I wish I'd read the reviews first. The sliced bananas are awful and very noticeable as discolored mushy slices. I will try this recipe again but I'm definitely mashing the bananas. This loaf was a waste of time and ingredients and went into the garbage.
I've never made pancakes from scratch before - always used a mix. This was so good I'll never use a mix again. I now want to make all kinds of pancakes. I made them for just me for lunch. The only substitution I made was using milk instead of almond milk. They were delicious. I froze the leftovers, took out 2 the next day, popped them in the toaster, and they were just as good if not better than the first day.
The taste was fine, but I couldn't get the cookies to roll into a ball (or any other shape). I ended up patting them into a cake pan, making bars out of them, and sprinkled powder sugar on top.
This is good but really rich - as I guess I would have known had I noticed it uses 3 sticks of butter! And an entire jar of caramel sauce. It's like a giant candy bar. I would make it again but cut it down to a third of the size, because no one wanted more than a very small piece. I had to put it in the fridge overnight to get it to set enough to cut it into bars.
I am not a cook at all. I got an air fryer to get frozen french fries and egg rolls crisp. Tonight I made chicken for the first time in the air fryer following this recipe exactly and my husband said it is the best chicken he's ever tasted.
Haven't made yet - use 1 less egg, 1 c. less sour cream
