I followed all instructions as written with the exception of doubling the amounts of everything. I've never made homemade mac & cheese so don't have anything to compare to except for "homemade" restaurant mac & cheese...but I found this to be gluey and extremely bland. My two mac & cheese loving children wouldn't even eat it. :(
