These were so good and well received by everyone at our New Year's lunch today. I used freeze-dried chives (all I had at home) and added hot sauce, lemon juice, and more bacon to the cream cheese mixture and they were delicious!!
I halved the rum (used Bacardi dark) in the glaze and the cake, and it was perfect. I also used pecans instead of walnuts and made it the night before. It was yummy the next day for our New Year's lunch.
This was delicious! I scaled the recipe for 10 servings (7 people) and there wasn't any left. I added more shredded cheese and a little more sour cream. Also used chives in the soup and served with fresh green onions. Made it the day before and reheated the day I served it. I will be making this again!
We usually like chocolate desserts, but this was really good for a change. Not the normal consistency of a cheesecake, but delicious just the same.
